"FYI: You can also find the temperature (as well as wind conditions) at www.covers.com. Just click through to MLB, then pick the game match up, and then scroll down. You will see the weather conditions about two-thirds of the way down the screen on the left-hand side."
I think you mean on the right hand side, or at least that is where I am seeing it (not trying to be a wise-ass, just not sure if there's some setting somewhere that would change where it shows up).
This is a good place to check, since the temperature which eventually goes into the database comes from the box score at covers.
Covers says that they get the temperature from accuweather.com
Unfortunately (unless someone knows differently - I looked around the accuweather site and also called and asked), accuweather.com doesn't have any option to get the weather for MLB games other than if you know the zip code, or city for each MLB team's stadium.
I know these can be documented, I was just hoping that they might have something similar to weather.com where you can look at the weather specifically for upcoming MLB games, and click on the detailed forecast link).
Anyway, that's probably more info than anyone wanted, but just sharing what I've learned while looking into this.

Just to make this somewhat more convoluted, I just discovered that there is a value for temperature named
Indoors
As opposed to having an actual number value, games played in a retractable dome (or non-retractable in the case of Tropicana field), I'm guessing when the dome is in place, fall into this category.
Here's a list of home games and years where I see anything listed for Indoors.
MIN 2008
TAM 2004-present
WAS 2004
ARI 2004, 2005, 2007
MIL 2004, 2005, 2008-present
TOR 2004-present, but none in 2009
HOU 2009
So, these games are not included in the prior numbers.
The good news is that they have been slightly above breakeven,
71-86 +420
with the more recent seasons doing better than the first few
2010 08-05 +535
2009 10-09 +310
2008 10-11 +070
2007 15-12 +725
2006 06-13 -435
2005 13-20 -395
2004 09-16 -390
Anyway, in case it comes up, thought it was worth mentioning.
