Oh you could hear the howling last night. That ridiculous juice was just too much to swallow. Congrats to the ones that avoided the bombs and laid off, or at least knocked the juice down.
That's why for decades you have heard me go on and on and on and on and on and on and on.......about staying away from the juice and home ice meaning squat. Now again of course the are teams that excel at home every year but when a team is laying -265 or more for Bobby Orr's sake leave it alone or adjust it.
Anyway..........
We have two more series that are 3-1 where the home team can close things out. So we can use the very same info from yesterday about history. We just need to see what happens from a history standpoint with things tied 2-2 in Washington
Lippsman 2-1 +3.81
New Jersey at Tampa Bay 3:00 PM
Columbus at Washington 3:00 PM
Toronto at Boston 8:00 PM
2 Home teams can close out 3-1 tonight. Should be a slam dunk right ?? Well not so fast.
Some conflicting info here, the Preliminary round has the home team hitting at 55.1%, but overall it's hitting at 64.3%, which is closer to what the lines are for TB and Boston tonight. TB is juiced higher for sure. But either way with the payouts with both teams are overlaying tonight for Preliminary stats. So history says take to take the Devils and Leafs if you go by Prelim. If you go by overall stats you should leave the Leafs alone.
Prelim History says
NJ +210
Leafs +162
Well how about the Caps going back home tied 2-2
Things are very consistent here. The home team is hitting at a rate of 61.6% and guess what. The Caps are -160. So that exactly what the Caps line should be. You think the oddsmakers are aware of history ? Yes they are and then know if they vary from it line wise they could be in trouble. When they cheat you nail them, when they are on the up and up, you just sit back and enjoy the OT.
