Update 3rd wk NCAAF results

4th week looks like it has some great matchups. Haven't seen any lines yet. Hope everyone are doing well...Lots of ole statfox handicappers are gone

1st wk 3-0 (2 units)

2nd wk 2-2 (2 units)

3rd wk 2-1 (2 units)

Overall record
7-3
Net: 8 units

3rd wk (all 2 units)
Playing favorites this time around :

BYU -17 Last yr, Provo Cougars had to come from behind and nip Houston Cougars by the nose.
This time, BYU which has been at top level of collegiate football under former HC Edwards has a chance to return to those ethereal heights under Mendenhall by leading from the front end. Mature team will also put more luster on Hill’s shot at the Heisman. BYU has been a QB factory for NFL. Steve Young touted Mr. Hill on ESPN recently. LOSS

Baylor -34 Return of Bryce Petty for the visiting Bears game at SUNY Buffalo. Lot of pts to lay but Baylor has the firepower and Petty is another candidate on Heisman watch. He can run and pass and they have a lot of playmakers. Should be a cover. Weather in 60-50 with a small chance of rain. Lots of pts early on and a demoralized Buffalo team will make the latter part of game an easy cover. Briles is not a coach that would play “not to lose”. He would pour it on as the stated goal is to reach the top echelon of college football, i.e. the playoffs. You have to beat the weaker opponents with style points. WIN

Okla -20 Sooners welcome 2-0 TN Vols to Gaylord Family Memorial Oklahoma Stadium. TN is an improving team under Butch Jones (formerly Cincinnati, and Cent Michigan). Initially, I wanted TN and take the pts but on second thought, the Sooners are on a tear, playing well and have one Alabama scalp on their belt. Stoops is not going to take it easy on any SEC teams as he has been adamant that SEC is not the elite and he has proven it once recently and won’t let this opportunity pass by to demolish a 2nd SEC team. Expect OU to put forth extra effort to demonstrate their superiority over another SEC team….OU wants to reach the 4 team playoffs and here’s where they score more stylistic points and add another SEC scalp to their belt. IMHO. WIN
