This game features the 16-12 ST.Johns at 22-7 Notre Dame. St. John's will be playing out the string right now. The Red Storm lost a crucial game (62-59) at Providence on Saturday night. That loss, for all intents and purposes, knocked St. John's off the tournament bubble. Prior to that game, head coach Steve Lavin suspended the Red Storm's best player, D'Angelo Harrison, for the rest of the season. Harrison was St. John's leading scorer at 17.8 points per game, and without him on the floor against Providence, the team really struggled. The Red Storm shot just 36.8% (25-68) from the field and 9.1% (1-11) from three-point land. St. John's is lost without Harrison, and after losing a crucial game, we expect the Red Storm to come with a non-effort tonight in South Bend. Notre Dame is off a 72-64 loss at Marquette on Saturday. But the Irish return home tonight to play their final home game of the season, and we expect a peak performance in this game. Notre Dame is 16-3 at home this season, their offense averages 74.4 points per game on 48.7% shooting from the field and 38.2% shooting from three-point land on their home court. St. John's has scored 59 points or less in four consecutive road games, and without their leading scorer, the Red Storm will not be able to keep pace with the Irish. Take ND minus the points tonite 8* play.
