T.V. a le cheap via the net!

I want to get the highest Internet speed I can soon enough.

But I actually watch little T.V.!!!

And I do need cable. Speed thing.

I found this quite interesting.

Not sure how it all works yet, I just know someone was asking how to hook up a T.V. to a computer somewhere in the forum.

I watch South Park in Canada for free. Is there anything else to watch on T.V.??? lol! True, the Simpson's and Family Guy...

It is too slow for trading baskets, in most cases, so of little value there. Same for most sports. Because of the Betfair 4 second delay, even a football fumble is too late to react to.

I do like twisted movies however, and the Netflix deal sounds pretty good!

I am not planning a setup for a few months yet, so just starting le research...

The article you linked was interesting. I don't think I will be giving up cable though. Too complicated for me. lol

pbs.org has a lot of videos to watch online. You can scout around the site to find lots of subjects to choose from. Here's one I found interesting.

I purchased a dvd from them about hummingbirds recently, and have shared it with family and friends.

Downloading tv shows from itunes is basically a rip. You can buy full seasons of boxed dvd tv shows on amazon.com for less, with free shipping.

Thanks Tdbabe.

I also have watched online the History Channel. I just want to get things to a T.V., so my eyes can get a break!

I am charting away all day, and don't stop. A little rough on the eyes by day's end. : )

Also, the cost too. The numbers are about right for Canada. It is about $120 plus tax a month for a cable and Internet package combined. $60 for really fast cable high speed only.

That is trading money!! LOL!

BTW, I also like a lot of stuff on PBS.

PBS is not really big with Quebecer's, so tough to get in a package deal.

Thanks again for the link!

Very good Bytore. I watched it through. Archeologists are a rare breed, withstanding many hardships on their quest for truth. They are the nomads of science.

That may be it. : )

I will watch it again. I watched about 4 shows in the series, but it has been quite some time. Also, I was watching them while trading! I forget a lot of the topics they covered.

Yes, those earth diggers can find some incredible things!

Back to the topic at hand. You can send your pc to the tv....lots of ways. This is just one place with gizmos and ideas.

http://sewelldirect.com/articles/co...to-your-tv.aspx

Why not get a giant monitor and split the screen between online tv shows and trading? Sometimes the feed to the monitor appears clearer.

Thanks Tdbabe.

I do need to check what is inside my computer. It may have a few options I am unaware of.

Like I was gonna read the instructions when I bought the thing last fall??? lol

I used one of those tuner things way back when I ran the virtual reality machines.

I will have to update le mind and see what is out there.

A lightning storm passed through here too....almost rocked me off my chair. I was happy for the rain though.

I have a series for you to watch on youtube. After I left the den, I was meandering thru that site and came upon this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWvS1UfXl8k

It is entitled, "Unlocking the Mystery of Life", and has 12 chapters, all short yet thought provoking and well done. This has something to do with what you started in your thread, and a lot to do with my current research, or a topic of much interest to me. I like it because it comes from a scientific base, with philosophical and metaphysical insertions. I think it is well worth your time, or else I would not give the link.

MOLECULAR MACHINES Bytore!!!! Go where the data leads you!!!

Please watch it. It is no coincidence I came upon it.

P.S. Start with Chapter 1, then follow the link at the bottom of the screen to go through to the end at Chapter 12.

I just took a quick peek...

I love it already!!! Honestly, this is the kind of research I am into Tdbabe. : )

I am a bit slow to watch anything these days. I still have to watch the Bible series I posted.

I know, I must sit back and relax!!! lol!

I think it wrong to believe one book is right, yet the philosophy gathered most true.

I think they figured out in the bible, how we get along with each other. : )

As books go for this, unless taken literally, it rocks!

Taken literally by some, pass me a snake head to bite off!!! lol!!!

Just teasing the Jesus people!!!

After many a read, I do believe, Jesus was the first socialist.

He was not a capitalist. This is to be sure. The religion's that took on the word a few hundred years later, fascists.

It is known fact they changed the words. Not many a history lesson needed to see that.

Talking about Jesus carries great risk. Some things do not change. : )

We do know, that the Vatican tried, and some what successfully, to change the world.

We hear of wars. "By the grace of Allah!!!".

I would have chosen "Allan" myself, but the letter "N" was not invented at the time! lol!

Then we have the other side.

"By the grace of God". Usually Christian.

They make war on each other, and both praise God!!!

Very confusing to say the least.

A lot of Muslim, well 99.99%, have no intention of blowing up the world. Same for the other side.

We know, the Christians do blow up worlds. I have history to prove to anyone this is true. And so does the Islam parties.

And then we have those Hindu!!! And the Buddha!!!

Me, I just like the magic... : )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eq8nQOhZ3u8

I will figure it all out, eventually!!! lol!
