Needless to say if you read carefully what I just posted, you would conclude that Phil Steele is a bull**** artist who tells only half truths, omits important parts of his recaps and chooses time frames which make him look like some kind of a guru.
As I and others have said before, he would make a truly great used car salesman.

These type of guys flood the radio with advertisements, especially Saturday and Sunday morning.

Are they really making THAT much money off people?

I heard them when I lived in Chicago and I hear them on Indianapolis radio all the time.

It is astonishing to me that that many people pay these "handicappers" for their picks. Those ad slots aren't cheap.

Phil Steele is a lousy capper. Touts have a bad name because of touts like him.

However...

The Phil Steele College Football Annual is the best publication of its kind. It may be the best publication of any kind.

How can the great man that produces the Annual be the same POS that we see week to week during the season?

Ahhh, the duality of man.

from northcoast i'd play

early bird
5* GOM
4* CFB totals
underdog play of the week from powersweep
4* angles from powersweep

and i'd give the 3* and 3.5* cfb totals a look too.

the rest is just guesswork from them
