Does anyone have any thoughts on this game, looked at early in the week at -20 but didn't take it as I have been in the process of switching books and going with bookmaker. The line opened at 18.5 I believe and is now Mich. St. -23.5. I know that UAB is a very young and inexperienced team.

Michigan State should be able to run at will against UAB’s soft defensive front, There is certainly more upside potential on the side of the Spartans, which is why the spread has climbed, but I’ll lean with UAB plus the points against a coach that is not likely to run up the score with a comfortable lead (Dantonio was just 5-8 ATS as a favorite at Cincy, including 2-4 ATS laying 7 points or more).

I am only leaning on this game, I am probably going to pass

Seven freshmen are expected to start for the UAB Blazers with three on the offensive line. Their #1 tackler, senior free safety Will Dunbar, is suspended. Blazers covered three of last 11. Coach Callaway, in his first year, has just four returning starters on both sides of the ball. All seniors and juniors on the offensive line for Michigan State. The Spartans are usually a quick-starter with three wins by 28 points or more the first three weeks the last two seasons. 30 Pirates are gone.

Shoulda rolled it, oh well. Not over yet, but I don't see UAB coming back. Michigan State was a team that hurt me bad in a few games last year I had bet on them.
