For college

basketball, Ken Pomeroy is the acknowledged wizard of stats at kenpom.com. Also see nropp.com for a fascinating blog on the college basketball.

Dr Bob has his own NFL matchup numbers at drbobsports.com. I think he also does so for NBA and college football.

Scoresandodds.com uses Statfox's numbers, but presents them in a different format which I prefer. The same numbers are available through virtually all of the on-line sports books.

For hockey, consult lippsman's daily post here during the season. He lists multiple sites with various info such as starting goalies every day,

Good luck

Lem

For baseball

see Andy Iskoe and Jeff Sagarin. Both are available in a number of places, Google will get you there.

Good luck

Lakerfan, people keep the code here up to date, more or less.

It is code to scrape data directly into Excel. So you need programming knowledge. It is not that hard, but you also need the desire for it.

In other words, it is useful to build back-test engines. Test anything really.

It uses Covers data.

I have not used it in a long time, as I plan to trade only, but you may find it useful in your pursuit of data.

All the best and go Lakers! Oilers too. And not the Houston ones. lol!

P.S. I am not the Oiler fan in the link. But he must be ok, he is an Oiler fan!
