Just put in my annual Giants World Series winner at 13-1. Hey, its just a $100. Little tough back to back, but hey, stranger things have happened!

yesterday

played all 8 dogs in an 8 team round round robin (28 bets @ $2) for kicks after reading this. Outcome was 15-13 for a profit of $43.02. Very interesting. Only two game available when I got home today so I'll parlay them for $5 and see what happens.

Betting on ALL the dogs in April has historically been a money maker.

Having said that, doing so last year was not great, -30.32 units.

Even with that, since 2004, betting every single dog in April (per the database I'm looking at) would have netted 81.57 unit.

Other than last year, the only other losing season was 2005 at -8.95 units.

This is a strategy that is near and dear to my heart as you know Cisco. But I just got my ass handed to me with it this year. First time in I don't know how long I lost money in pucks doing this.

Glad this is hitting for you in bases. Do you have any numbers on how this had done in past years ?

qs185 gave us last year. -30.32 units

From ESPN.com:

Since 2004, if you blindly bet $100 on every favorite in the month of April, you would be down $26,000, an average of $3,250 per year. If you flipped that and blindly bet every ‘dog, here’s the year-by-year breakdown:

2004: $2,000
2005: $800
2006: $300
2007: $100
2008: $3,200
2009: $2,600
2010: $800
2011: $3,200

I’ll add it up for you: It’s a net of $13,000.

Quick question

Are u only playing dogs when they are + or are u playing if they are a small minus as well
Example from today

935. Boston (Red Sox) -
Money Line -105

936. Minnesota (Twins) -
Money Line -115

So would Soxs be a play based on this?
