1st half basketball total projections

I've put something together that will project 1h totals for NCAA, NBA and WNBA. It takes into account the teams overall 1h performance and their recent play. Just pick the teams, then hit next. Input the 1H total and the game total and hit play.

http://www.edbemiss.com/index.php?option=com_firsthalf&lang=en

It will generate a projection and a suggested play if certain criteria are met. The plays will be either for .5 unit or 1 unit.

Here's a sample winner from last night. Hit play (1 unit play) TCU/Kansas St.

http://www.edbemiss.com/index.php?option=com_firsthalf&task=load_magic&magic=800&lang=en

The suggested plays aren't just based on difference of line. I have a couple other factors. A full unit plays means both teams are trending in the same direction for the different variables I've set up.

It seems to generate a good amount of suggestions. I wouldn't go crazy as I don't think I'm reinventing the wheel here.

I'll leave it available through the NCAA tournament, for people to use, and would like some help tracking or help finding certain patterns. For example a suggested 1H over leads to a full game over. Or even if it doesn't win (the 1h play) the 2h is over hits. Little stuff that I can't track by myself.

I'm going to Florida next week and I'll be able to update the numbers that run it every morning but some of the tracking may not get done. If anyone wants to help, great.

Try it. Play a suggestion small if at all. I think this thing will be valuable I just don't have thousands of plays to confirm that. I just placed the .5 and 1 unit plays to help me with a standard unit of tracking.

If anyone has any suggestions or would like to compare numbers with me, great. That's why I posted it. I'd love to see if the numbers that are generated are similar to guys who play a ton of this stuff.

12 games generated "suggested" plays for the 6-7 pm window of games . Let's see how they do (got lines about 10 minutes ago. most totals aren't available at the 2 books suggested for record keeping) just using this to track some plays for my own benefit.

vill und 56.5
lasalle over 62
wagner over 67.5
lafayette over 60.5
(nba) clev under 102

7 more suggestions for 8-9 games. Again. I'm posting these to help track. I wouldn't go crazy playing these.. I may have to adjust the number where it automatically generates a suggestion, (based on the line difference or other factors) we'll see. The lines are tighter in the NBA. (as expected) I personally have a better feel for the college teams but I want to post both to see how they will do.

.5 unit

(NBA) Phil/atl over 95
(NBA) wash/min over 94
(NBA) port/mem ov 93.5
smu/tulsa ov 59.5

1 unit

(NBA) la/no over 102
(NBA) hou/dal over 111.5
lsu/tex am ov 59.5

here are the rest that came up as suggestions. Looks like I have to look into the cutoff numbers I'm using for plays as it's generating a ton. Also check that the .5 unit plays are doing just as well or the same as the full unit. Maybe I'm putting too much into the 1 unit plays and should just make everything the same. Plus almost all overs tonight. (I had more unders last few nights)

Gonna post the others, can't possibly and won't play all of them but this will be every play that fit for the card tonight.

.5

NBA- under 97.5 tor/pho
NBA- over 103.5 mil/lac
over 56.5 neb/min
over 56 stl/xav
over 64 wash st/ucla
over 61.5 nev/nm
over 55.5 col st/nm
over 62 usc/wash
over 62.5 eillinois/semo

1 unit

NBA over 114 sac/gs
over 55 gt/miami
over 64.5 wv/ok
over 56.5 loy mary/port

that's good. I still think I need to find a way to cut down on the total amount of plays the system generates. I'll keep tweaking it.
