Neither of these two teams' players that play abroad have had much time to practice or get acclimated. Many of the European based players, just played games over the weekend and have since had to fly back to north America. For the US guys, they've had to take multiple flights to get to Honduras.
This US team is missing Landon Donovan for the first time in qualifying in quite a while, they are also missing their steady right back Steve Cherundolo. There are some bright young players taking their spots, in Timmy Chandler and Grahm Zusi, but playing in a hostile environment in an intimidating sold-out stadium (made possible by a national holiday being declared in Honduras for the game) won't be easy.
Probably going to be a draw, but I like the dog odds that the Hondurans are getting, going with Honduras @ +115, 200 for 230.
anybody else watching this? Two pretty awesome goals in the first half. Clint Dempsey is the man. US backline looks shaky and you can tell they havent played much together before.
