Last nite VCU was -10. Someone hammered them up to 12. I really thought the line would come down. Didn't happen. St Joe's is not playing up to their potential by any means, thanks to Martelli. Way too much talent to be playing like they have been. They do have a short bench, but I don't think fatigue will be a factor. VCU's 'havoc' will be a factor though. They create a ton of turnovers. #1 in the nation. 3 out of every 10 opponent's possessions end up in a turnover. St Joe's, on the other hand, doesn't turn it over much. Creighton is the only team that blew them out. VCU is on that level. I was all set to pop VCU at 6 or 7. But at 12, I'm gonna take the points. Should wait for a 2h value bet on VCU, like Temple last nite. Just gonna go ahead and play +12.
UMass/Duq should be fun to watch. Someone hammered that total up to 158. UMass will get a ton of open looks. Will they hit them? With Morgan, #2 scorer, going down for the year, they are looking for a 2 guard. Last game they played a freshman, Trey Davis, at the point some, and put Chaz at the 2. Interested to see how that turns out tonite. UMass and Duq will go stretches without scoring, then run off 12 straight. Slight lean to the under here, but will watch for a 2h play. UMass is -5' for the 1h. Don't like that hook for some reason.
