I haven't figured out a system yet. But the huge swings in the series line looks like a golen opportunity to me. Just thinking out loud here, so go ahead and add your two cents.
Lipss says that playing the dog the first two games of the first series is profitable. Let's just look at one example: MIN STL. Before the first game STL series line was -140. After game one lost, it's now +175. The series lines are moving by more than 100 cents on wins and loses. Let's say we bet STL+175 series tonight. If STL wins, the series line will drop back down to STL favorite over MIN. At that point you bet on MIN series. You size the MIN series bet like a don't side hedge in craps. The result is a locked in profit no matter who wins. Let's say STL loses game 2. Your series bet is still alive, although you are two in the hole and definite underdog. But the bet still has a chance.
What other ways are there to take advantage of these huge swings?
