Don't play ON a team that is 3-7 or worse over last 10 games
Don't play AGAINST a team that is 7-3 or better over last 10 games
Play on team needs to be at least .400 overall against opponent over the last 3 years or .400 or better at the site of the series for the last 3 years.
I won't disqualify a play if one of these angles is not met, but both makes it a no play.
Also, after a team has played 10 games at home or on the road, the .400 rule comes into effect also. Like above, a team won't be disqualified for failing to hit .400 on one, but if is below .400 on 2 categories becomes a no play.
Finally, if a team is sub .400 in one of the 3 categories I apply one final filter.
Take team's record for the season (road or home)
Add
Team's record vs opponent last 3 years overall
Add
Team's record vs opponent last 3 years at site of series
Add
Reverse of opponent's record for the season (home or road)
Example
Team A is 3-7 on the road this year (.300)
Team A is 12-4 vs Team B over the last 3 years
Team A is 4-4 at Team B over the last 3 years
Team B is 6-5 at home this year
I played them yesterday, when they were dogs, they were also dogs today according to yesterdays lines but now appears they are slight favorite at -110. So are they a play still or what.
What do you do about teams that are dogs for the first two games then the line changes for the second and there not dogs anymore?
Do we have both SF and Texas in game 3 of the chase? I am curious because they both have lost the past 2 days and i have been on them, and i havn't seen any updates about the chases from anyone.
Texas and S.F. did not qualify as a chase under this system. Continue to play at your own risk. These were NO PLAY series and I recommend that they not be calculated in the totals for this system. Good Luck to All!
There is no significant head to head data or a records at opposing ballparks. Available data does not fit within the guidelines of this system. NO PLAY
