CHEATING and FIXING A GAME are two very different things.

Up until the last few years taking sterioids did not put a career in jeopardy, but it actually allowed you to land a BIG CONTRACT... Bonds,Sosa,McGwire, Brady Anderson, to name a few.

Pete Rose has a GAMBLING PROBLEM, which is why he bet on baseball and his own team.

I just don't believe in this day in age where professional sports is a multi-billion dollar industry that you are able to FIX a professional sporting event.

Belief is usually defined as a conviction to the truth of a proposition. Beliefs can be acquired through perception, contemplation or communication. In the psychological sense, belief is a representational mental state that takes the form of a propositional attitude.

---

With all my respect to you :
You "believe" but I "know " that in this day in age where professional sports is a multi-billion dollar industry you are able to FIX a professional sporting event.

Knowledge is information of which someone is aware. Knowledge is also used to mean the confident understanding of a subject, potentially with the ability to use it for a specific purpose.

The unreliability of memory limits the certainty of knowledge about the past, while unpredictability of events yet to occur limits the certainty of knowledge about the future. Epistemology is the philosophical study of the nature, origin, and scope of knowledge

Friday

Until you show me proof that professional sporting events are fixed I will continue to believe that they are not being fixed.

I am curious though... How many games a year in the NBA are being fixed?

"Sports gambling is a billion dollar indusrty as well."

Exactly. If sports fixing was ever exposed today, both the league (billions) and gambling (billions) would be destroyed. The risk is enormous. All it would take is one ref to pull a 'Canseco', or a balco type expose and billions would be lost.

"The MOB have a lot of money in this one and make sure that in the second half of that game, all the calls where against PHO... check the tape of that and you will see"

I'm skeptical of this mob betting heavily on one side deal. So then they're taking money from the vegas books? Aren't casinos mob run anyways? What is it, the Mob vs. Vegas?

How many games a year in the NBA are being fixed?

Well it's not and exact number... but 2 or 3 per week

By example in this NBA Finals NOT all the games will be "decided" or "fix"... only 2 or 3 ( maybe 4 ) will be influence by the MOB and don't have to "believe" me... you will see the real power of this group with your own eyes

One more thing Friday. Shouldn't you be concerned about sleeping with the fishes for giving away 'MOB' info on a public forum?

No... they can't take money out of vegas, becuase they OWN SIN CITY ( LV ), it's not the MOB vs Vegas, it's the MOB = Vegas vs 97 % of the bettors

Like I said before.. in the DAL / PHO game 6, the MOB = Vegas... will have loss big money if the Suns win that game, that's why the Mavericks get all the calls in the second half

Bon't "believe" me... check out the tape

The Fix Is IN

you have to find the games that have most likelihood to be fixed and either bet for the fix or stay away in certain sports basket ball and football imo its a good way to make money and it has worked for many people I know and have seen here as well

sometimes the spread is fair and bets are even those games imo are usually on the up and up. players get paid to fix them and they also get their real games too. they get paid so much to fix them better than others and hope for their next game to be a real one so they dont have to make it look shady

- Did you know where I am at this moment ? did you know my complete name ? I have ever say a single MOB name ?

- Have you been involved in the MOB for over 20 years, and for the last 14 live out of the US hidden from a small group of MOB members?

No, no, no, no, no... and no I'm not sleep with the "fishes" and I'm not giving away "new" MOB info in public

The information is power... and I know where to buy this information becuase I like to have this power, and my man, you must know that they like to get money from more that only one place

I've always believed that in pro football the refs and field goal kickers can be bought off. In NBA the ref's are told to "tighten the game up" in certain games. And why call a T with ½ second to go and the game is out of reach except to go over the total?

I know if I had INSIDE INFORMATION about games that were fixed I would keep that information to myself and or maybe a few close friends, but I know damn well I would not be selling it for $105 per month. Just a thought.

mmm, how many scandals are there in the stock markets yet people still invest there money. What we fail to understand is that we are talking about percentages, risk to return. Investment on SPORTS, STOCKS, POLITICS, INSURANCE, etc.,etc.. They are all super buninesses that will never fall. They all have a common denominater and that is MAN'S SEVEN SINS, mostly GREED and MONEY.
Seriously GUYS, do you also believe that those other industries are not fixed/altered to suit the situation.
I propose at vote on all forums around the world, and we'll get George Bush's brother to count them just to make sure that there is nothing fishy going on.

NBA playoffs are largely fixed. No question. Very easy for the refs to change a game, and some of us on this forum were right on top of it during the Phoenix-Dallas series (see earlier thread about NBA fixed). Nothing to do with excuses, as Jason suggests, because I was on Dallas. The calls were going my way. During these playoffs I often knew, during the game, at what point the refs were going to play the scoreboard. Very funny to see them oblige with tickytack and phantom calls. This didn't happen once or twice, but a lot.

It's not the MOB, though. It's the NBA. It's about people staying tuned to the game, about marketing around the world (through superstars!), about television money.

WNBA is fixed as well. Watch out for games played in New York. LA Sparks found out last week. Same scenario as (NBA) Suns ran into in the Big Apple earlier this season. Blantantly obvious.

like dark horse says sometimes it looks so blatently obvious that one would have to be naive (for lack of a better word) to think the fix was never and is never in. not trying to insult the non believers just what I have seen and believe

Couldn't agree more about the "Madison Square Garden Effect" lol. Even the lowly Knicks pulled a few WTF? wins/covers there down the stretch this season.

The players and coaches all know. Why do you think they have this astronomical fines for criticiing the refs?

Going back to that LA Sparks-NY Liberty game, the WNBA is almost unwatchable, but refreshingly candid. In the NBA the commentators know they can't be critical. So Hubie (can hardly stand the guy) will call every questionable call an 'excellent call'. Not so in the WNBA. No censorship here. Microphones along the sideline. Quotes by LA coach: "So that's how it is going to be here, Jeffrey (ref). So that is how it's going to be here?" This was early in the game, and the commentators had no problem explaining the meaning. Later in game, same coach to his girls: "Sometimes you have to play eight". Again, commentating was quick to point out that he meant five players plus the three officials. You don't get that type of openness in the NBA. Stern has too much power. Commentators are afraid to lose their jobs.

Douglas, and no disrespect to you Friday. As the info trickles down the grapevine, it doesn't mean it used wisely. Also, there can be misleading info to keep the tailgaters off balance. That is why Friday isn't perfect. LOL

Friday

Who's most likely in on the fix... players or officials? Can't be both. Too many people would have to be involved if games are being fixed at a rate of 2 to 3 per week. Somebody would have uncovered this by now.

And, if that many games are being fixed, why stop at Game 6 of the Conference Finals? Why not go ahead and fix one or two more to meet my quota?

Bad officiating occurs in every sport. Bottom line is that players still have to execute and make plays. Take Jordan's infamous push-off on Bryon Russell. Obvious offensive foul. Jordan still has to hit the shot to win the game.
