The Astros had been surging prior to the All-star break, but they stumbled very badly in St.Louis over the weekend, dropping three straight while scoring a measly five runs in
the series. That demoralizing effect could carry over tonight, as they take on a profitable lefthander (Williams +$475) ina very unfavorable setting (Houston only 4-13, -$885 on the road vs. lefties this year). Pittsburgh has turned a tidy profit in night games vs. right-handers at PNC Park (14-8, +$720) and Brandon Backe (5.16 ERA in 17 starts) doesn't give us much cause for concern. We'll lay a short price on the home team tonight.
