NOTES:John1180 although your Dallas Mav. selection was right on it is a just BASEBALL tourney. You probably didn't realize this;but if you keep picking N.B.A. winners you can put them in with your baseball selections only if there winners. I don't think the forum will mind, you just don't receive any credit for it in tourney.

Top 3 players for Sat. April 19th JustDave 3-0 +15.3units- bashton1 3-1 +8.6units- CJB 3-1-1 +6.0units.

Just in case your wondering ties do not count in standings because there are no unit gain or loss.

Happy Easter!! Let's find some time to pick some winners!!!

KC -174 (5units) "I keep getting this hunch."

STL -139 (5units) Historically tough on Sundays at home.

Considering NYY, but thinking, I won't play against home teams on Easter Sunday.

Picks

Florida +130 5 Units
San Diego +128 5 units
San Fransisco +109 5 units
Oakland -200 5 Units
Detroit +154 5 units Happy Easter Tigers!

Why?
I got two hours sleep because my kids are excited about Easter and I am used to staying up late and sleeping late. 4-6 just does not cut it. That is what I take Detroit! They are due. Today is the day. The other dogs are decent pitching and offensive matchups vs very similiar teams. Mostly tossups that either team can win so I will just take the dog. As far as Oakland I am riding them now. I have been waiting all season for their bats to wake up and they finally did. The only negative thing is it has been hard for teams to win game number 3 in a win streak this year. I was playing streaks and game 3 is a toughie. I should stick with my dog strategy and take Texas but I really think Oakland is breaking out right now.

As the day begins,
go say hi to your friends,
and remember who told you,
today the lowly tigers wins!

Have a good day and Thanks Vig!

Happy Easter Everyone

SF + 109 2 units
TB/Balt 0 9.5 - 105 1 unit
KC - 174 3 units
Tex/Oak O 9.5 -120 1 unit

Here is why

Well I am playing the value on SF. How can they be a dog at 15-2??? Stats to consider Runs a Game LA- 3.2 SF- 5.9 . The bullpens and Starting pitching is pretty equal as I see it. Edge SF

TB/Balt OVER- Well this is just to bad pitchers. 11.77 era VS. 7.87 and both teams seem to hit left starters better. With both ERA's being so bad on of these pitchers will get shelled if not both of them.

KC.. This one kind of explains it self. Will the Tigers even win 40 games this yr???? It is doubtful!!!

Tex/OAK 0 9.5 Both starting pitchers are average at best and the same with the bullpens. Also Oak's bats have been someing around as of late and Tex can also throw up some runs from time to time.

Today's Early Selections

Montreal Expos (-177) [5 units]: I still like Tony Armas Jr. I have mentioned him several times in other posts. I think he is beginning to hit his stride a bit after a few losses and no decisions to start the season.

Houston Astros (-130) [5 units]: I like good teams coming off a loss in extra innings. I think the Astros get one here in a game that will see a bunch of runs scored.

Adding STL RL +145 (5units)

Would have played 10 units on the ML, and 5 on the RL, but under the existing rules this is my only option.

Yesterday's AZ win was facilitated by Mr Ed Montague, Visiting Team's best friend. Under normal circumstances, ie when EM is not HP ump, Kim isn't good enough to start.

Trying to find a groove here:

S.F. +109 [5 units]
Texas +170 [5 units]

No luck as of late in my baseball picks. I hope I can find something that works for me here tonight. San Fran is just simply one of the great ball clubs this year. As for Texas, I'm just hoping that they can avoid the sweep.

adding SF play

SF +109 3 Units

I went to high school with Ainsworth, so I'm pretty much always playing on SF when he starts. Additionally, SF's just too hot to play against -- and I need to play again today to get that bad St. Louis taste out of my mouth.

Happy Easter ..continued success to us all...,
