OAK -340 (5units) Sure, anything's possible, but I don't walk around dodging lighting bolts with a worried look on my face.
KC -135 (5units) Runelvys Hernandez is a stud. The Twins are desparate. Gomez starting at 3rd (first time ever) and leading off (really dumb idea). "We got lambasted,'' Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. Hummmm, lambasted twinkie. Is that a new type of cream filling?
NYY -146 (4units) Yankees are in full-offensive form. This game (series) has been circled on the calender since their final loss to Anaheim last year (today's Yankees w/ revenge on their minds? Oh My!). I'm sure the Godzilla following will be a huge presence in Anaheim.
I was up north and watched the Tigers on tv all weekend. They were my childhood team. Alan and Lou were UNSTOPPABLE together.......but even if Trammel got SWEET LOU to come and help it wouldnt make any difference this year. Next year Illitch will open his wallet and get some players but until then they LITERALLY have no players worth' in the lineup. They have a VERY POOR pitching staff and their hitters are SUB PAR at best.
I can easily see them going weeks without wins!
Hard to watch as a childhood-team but business is business and the game goes on.
Colorado +138 5 Units (15-2 win streak method)
Kansas City -131 5 Units (15-2 win streak method)
Montreal -157 5 Units
Seattle -183 5 Units
Chicago Sox -140 5 Units
The last three are playing against teams looking to win 3 in a row. These are Cleveland, Baltimore and Arizona. Not the greatest of teams and winning 3 in a row this season has been tough so far with an overall record for the last two weeks of 20-27. Would like to have seen a dog there though. That is what I was looking for but really do not like the teams they are playing against in these matchups.
Giants 15-3 Pirates 9-9(3-6 Home)
Giants 5.9 runs Pirates 3.9(3.1 Home)
Giants 9-3 vs. Pirates last 3 years
Giants only 10 errors Pirates have 21 errors.
The only downside I see for the Giants is the pitching matchup.
Giants are starting unproven Foppert and the Pirates Suppan.
Suppans' been great this year but he has played the likes of the Phillies, MEts, and Brewers. He is 0-2 w 8.71 era vs. Giants.
LA vs. Cincy
The Reds are going to be one of the worst teams this year. They have trouble against Lefty starters so Ishii will bring his stuff today.
LA only 8 errors and the Reds have 23
Bullpen advantage clearly to the LA
Reds staff allow 7.6 runs per game.
White Sox vs. Orioles
All over Loaizza this year. 3-0 1.29 era. Still needs to prove himself against better hitters but so far so good and these birds cant hit too well. Sox will contend for title and put a nice streak together anyday now.
Mariners vs. Indians
Garcia is one the AL elite if he can get some run support. The Mariners are ready to roll and the Indians are still rebuilding. Sabathia hasnt had his stuff this year. Clearly leaning towards pitching and offense on the same team here today.
A's vs. Tigers
"I have a hunch." JK
Huddie is a good pick against any team. Today he gets the little kittens of Detroit city. 7-2 lifetime against the tiggers. Oakland is 12-2 the last 3 years vs. Detroit. It's just a bad situation for the Tigers.
Sorry its not as in depth as I'd like but I gotta go. Good luck and burn the man today.
I agree with Jeff's or is it Dane's CWS selection.
Baltimore while even at home in units, last season was a dismal -1275 at Camden Yards! Not enough has happened in the off-season for me to believe this team has turned it around. I agree with him that CWS are going to breakout -perfect timing with these O's. Loaiza has been stellar.
A's -330 (5 units)... The only way the Tigers win this game is if Kirk Gibson is batting cleanup and Sparky brings out the lineup card.
Giants -128 (5 units)... Besides the Yanks nobody is playing better overall baseball than the G-men. It was good to get that a-s-s kicking from LA out of their system.
Yankees -149 (5 units)... The best team in baseball hands down. Need to play them at a number like this, doesn't matter where.
Cubs -163 (5 units)... Dusty has the Cubbies playing very well. Sosa got his helmet taped up and he'll back for the night game at Wrigley. Cubs may have the best rotation in the league.
All 4 of these games hit my criteria on the FoxSheets for favorite plays.
