Why Boston?

MTP,

Just curious why you like the Sox as I think Texas close to Pick'em is the best bet of the night. Young has been great at home with a 2.88 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP in 50 innings. He's also allowed 3 earned runs or less in each of his last 6 home starts. Wakefield has been awful against Texas throughout his career, and in his last 3 against them, he has allowed 18 earned runs and 26 hits in 18 2/3! Not criticizing your play, just curious as to the mindset.

Thanks,

DH

DH,

Boston has a road record of 22-21. Most of my plays are
based on road and home records. Pretty simple really.
When I see a team that is over .500 on the road and they
lose the 1st game of a 3 or 4 game series I play on that
team not to get swept.

Since I have some time tonight, I'm gonna lay out my
thought process on these games. I blew it with the
Balitmore pick because I didn't realise it was only a
2 game series. I almost always check this, but I
missed that one.

Milwaukee (16-27 on the road, under .400) vs Florida
Florida lost game 1, play 1 unit on Florida to win the
2nd game. Florida has lost the 2nd game so now
play 2 units on Florida to avoid the sweep in the 3rd
game tomorrow. This was a play against Milwaukee
sweeping on the road.

Boston (22-21 on road, over .500) vs Texas
Boston lost game 1, play 1 unit on Boston to win the
2nd game. Boston wins the 2nd game. No further
plays. This was a play on Boston to not be swept on
the road.

Seattle (14-24 on road, under .400) vs KC (15-24 at home, under .500)
Seattle won game 1, play 1 unit on KC to win game 2.
This game was a double whammy. We are betting that
neither team will sweep this series. If KC had won game
1, then Seattle would have been the game 2 play. We
are playing against both teams to sweep the series.

Minnesota (19-16 on road, over .500) vs Angels (24-24 at home, over .600)
Minnesota won game 1, play on Angels to win game 2.
This game is a double whammy for opposite reason. We
are betting that neither team will be swept. If Angels had
won game 1, then Minnesota would have been the play.
We are playing on both teams to not be swept.

Cincinnati (7-28 on the road, under .400) vs SF
Cincinnati won game 1, play on SF in game 2. This is a play
against a Cincinnati road sweep.
