double play on a single

am not watching the game but just saw a guy hit a single and the mets got a double play out of it. that is insane.

dont even understand how that could seriously even happen

here's what happened in the top of the 2nd...

Russell Martin drove a Maine pitch off the right-field wall. Kent got a late start from second and was thrown out at home. Also, Drew was right behind Kent and he too was out at home. What looked like a two-run double turns into a wacky double play.
