Handicapping Light 12/07

Test to see if simple evaluation has any possibility of winning

Lines are as of what was on the sheet and will be graded at that.

SS = Super Situations
Sim = Simulator
OW = Outright Win
PL = Power Line
Sim * = Simulator Edge
PL * = Power Line Edge
otherwise, used to indicate a sitatuion, for example, 4* or 5*

These are subjective - always willing to see if others see something different in the data.

Will sometimes comment on games that are a pass.

Basic criteria
10 or more difference in SS (usually more), possibly with backup from Sim / PL and other Sits
or
Outright dog wins on the sim

Started Monday 12/05

As of EOD 12/06

NBA

Sides No plays

Totals

Over 0-1

College

Sides
RD 3-0
RF 0-1
HD 1-0
HF 1-1

H1 always will be RD 1-1-1
Still prefer first half, but tracking for the game as well 3-0

Totals

Over 0-0
Under 2-0

For 12/07

NBA

CHI +1
SIM at PK PL OW, no SS, but other sits are 61-0

CHI/ORL over 176.5
Sim at 182, no SS, other sits 24-0

PHI -6.5
SS 17-0, Sim opposite, but PL on our side

NJ/CHA
Would have been on CHA as any plus, but line move makes them the fav, so pass

BOS/NOR over 191.5
SS 19-0, other sits 8-0, sim under, but no edge

PHO/GSW pass
SS 31-3 for GSW, but Sim * and PL OW for PHO

PHO/GSW over 209.5
SS 22-2 over, other sits 27-0 over

NCAA

Georgia Tech H1 +1.5
SIM and PL OW, game line moved from -1 to +3

Pittsburgh -14
SS 73-15, Sim *

Alabama -8.5
SS 21-0, Sim * and PL *. Little cautious on this one, but listing it.

C. Michigan +19 pass
SS 28-0, but Sim leans and PL * for Dayton
Not sure if this fits the 80% unopposed SS for C. Michigan

Hofstra H1 +1.5
Sim OW, SS 8-0

Kansas State -9
SS 14-0, Sim lean, PL *

lean on Utah +10, but pass, not enough SS

lean on San Jose State / Pacific under 130
Sim lean over and no SS, but other sits 51-5 under inc five 4*, one 6* and one 7*

Fresno State +9
SS 12-0, other site 14-0, Sim lean PL *

W. Carolina +24
SS only 8-4, SIM * and PL *
Other sits favor Maryland 25-0, but here's something I look for
NONE of the other sits favoring Maryland have them covering today's line (one would be a push).

Portland State H1 +3
Sim OW and PL OW

Good Luck,
Bart

Thanks for taking the time to do this again. There are so many college b'ball games on a given day that I can really appreciate the time this takes. Interesting note, when compared to Goldenstar's RPI post.....

Pitt looks stronger

Kan St and CS North look weaker

Would also like to compare to Big Dadi's 30% thread when he posts the final update just before gametime.

Another interesting thing I forgot to mention was that there were no 4* SS on any NHL or NBA games tonight.

MT Paid,

Glad to help when I can.

I agree - didn't see any 4* or higher SS on the NBA.

Can you confirm if Central Michigan would fit the

"80% unopposed" criteria? I'm still not positive what that means.

If someone tells me, I'll go back and check some data for this season, and last.

Thanks,
Bart

I just discovered this thread and I too appreciate your efforts.

This thread got buried from all the other "bs threads" from those

who absolutely have nothing intelligent to say or simply, “no life!” (Such is life....those who have nothing to say, very obviously, say the most!)

Anyway, yes I think it was Central Michigan, and it did meet the 80% unopposed situations that were so productive in CFB! You then click on expanded to see that going into tonight it was "1-0" this current year!
