Detroit/Miami (1H)

Hey guys, thought I'd chime in with a first-half play for tonight's game. What I've got here are the halftime scores for games in which Detroit was favored by 6.5 (+/-1) and in which Miami was a 6.5 (+/-1) point underdog. Some of these stats might surprise you.

Detroit (when about a 6.5 point favorite)
All Games (19 Games)
Detroit - 45.6
Opponent - 43.9
Home Games (8 Games)
Detroit - 44.1
Opponent - 44.9

Miami (when about a 6.5 point underdog)
All Games (8 Games)
Miami - 49.8
Opponent - 47.3
Road Games (8 Games)
Miami - 49.8
Opponent - 47.3

Here are some specific matchups between the Heat and Pistons this season:

Game 1: Detroit as 5.5 point favorite
Halftime Score
Miami - 48
Detroit - 44

March 22: Detroit as 7 point favorite
Halftime Score
Miami - 43
Detroit - 35

December 29: Detroit as 6 point favorite
Halftime Score
Miami - 52
Detroit - 53

And if you consider that in Game 1, probably for about 17-18 minutes, Dwyane Wade was out with foul trouble, the 1st half play here should be:

Miami +3.5

As always, good luck tonight!

Miami +3.5 (1H) - Loser!

My, what a disgusting half for the Heat. It's amazing it's this close, though it didn't seem like they were catching too many breaks. Oh well, if we could predict every game correctly, there would be no reason to watch. That's why we all love sports so much!
