STILLWATER — College football fans heading to Stillwater on Saturday may want to keep the weather in mind when preparing for Bedlam as temperatures are expected to hover just above 32 degrees, threatening a chance of freezing rain.
"It's right on the very edge of some ugly weather," National Weather Service meteorologist Glenn Wiley said.
ESPN's College GameDay show will air from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday on campus, and the Oklahoma State Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners kick off in Boone Pickens Stadium at 7 p.m.
The temperature is expected to stay between 32 and 35 degrees throughout the day, Wiley said, and a consistent light rain is a strong possibility. Winds coming from the north will blow between 10-15 mph.
By the time the game rolls around, Stillwater is going to be cold, wet and possibly frozen, if the temperature drops just a few degrees.
