NHL

Got one early game today in the NHL. Going with Bos. -170 ML (Canbet) over the Rangers. This is one of the two NHL games today going at 1:30 EST. The PL in this game is -0.5 -117, so there is some value here in the lines also. Still working on the late games. If I have anything else I'll post it later. Good luck everyone .

Ragtop thanks for the Stat involving the Leafs tonight.

This will be back to back nights for both the Caps and the Leafs. Advantage Leafs who get to return home and play at the ACC which has been very kind to them this year.

If the Caps can pull one out tonight after beating a very tough Ottawa team lasnight I'd be very very impressed.

I don't think they have what it takes.

I've put 4 UNITS on the Leafs ML and only 1 UNIT on them -1.5

4-2 Leafs

Cash, I don't have any stats on teams like the Caps when they scored less than 4 goals on back to back nights. Good luck and I hope that Tor. Wins for you. I see where Belfour is reported as the starting goalie for Tor., so that is another plus for you.
Nick, Thanks for the heads up on Bos/Rangers. Its not very often we are on a different side in the same game. I see where the back up Raycroft may be the starting goalie for the Bruins, so I may check out a possible middle play also. Dunham is coming off a hamstring injury, so this game could be very interesting. Good luck to both of you on your plays today.

I am not very experienced w/ betting hockey,,,,all i know is i won a gang of money last years playoffs betting on the underdog a bunch, but anyways,,,,I am switching bookies right now and my new one takes hockey bets, whereas my old one didnt. My new one gets his odds off of a website that is not affiliated w/ any gambling sites and i cant figure out how to read part of these odds.....

The odds are like this:
-½ -160 or 1-1½

What is the second line???1-1.5???

Nick, Thanks for the heads up on the Rangers/Bos. Matchup. I played light and went for a middle. No big loss with Bos. and paid some juice.
GrayVA: I only play the ML or the PL in hockey with Sportsbooks. I have no idea what your man is doing with the 2nd line you noted. Most good bookies will explain their lines if you ask to avoid any hassles later. I would ask you book. Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you.

This guy is really wierd, he only takes the final lines and he gets his odds at www.scoresandodds.com.......he has big money, but he is very amateur,,,,,,,,,

I have no choice though, my bookie cut me off and sent me to this guy b/c he has higher limits, and i was the only guy winning money off my old man......

I will probably take my winnings from my other bookie and put it online,,,,,,,,,,after i clean this guy out of a few G's

I may even be able to take advantage of this guy's lack of experience

The line your book posted is that to get a -0.5 line you are laying -160 in juice, the 1-1.5 is that you are betting even money for a -1, -1.5 line depending on what he tells you the line is. Avoid these lines if you can, ask him if he has a moneyline.

Just doing my part to beat the books at their own game.

Rookie Bookie

If you look at scoresandodds.com, i also found that they don't put a line on the underdogs for NHL, i will ask him about this, maybe i can get -110 for all dogs, that could come in handy sometimes....

Leafs almost blew it for me! Should've been in the bag with 5 to go up 3-1. Lucky for the Power Play in overtime to setup the win.

Played a UNIT of the Canucks -.5

Already down one but I'm sure they'll pull it out tonight.

Best of Luck Cash Money

I watched the 3rd period of the Tor. game and said oh no. Close one but a W in the end. Good luck on the Canucks. Kentucky and Bruins dented my bankroll a little today, but tomorrows another day.
