Rider Broncs 1H
Seems like Rider's returning starters are finally starting to click as they have won the past 4 games and are 10-5 overall. On the other hand Niagara with a new found team can't seem to do anything right. Sitting at a lonesome 3-12 including 0-3 in conference play. It acually gets slighty worse when you look at the purple eagles ATS marks, 2-9 ATS full game and 1-10 ATS first half. Niagara isn't losing these first halves by small margins either, these boys are getting rolled out of the gate. Rider is currentely 4-2 ATS against the first half line when playing a true road game. Niagara flat out just can't shoot, they are happy when they get into the mid 30 percentile which isn't often. Normally you see a team progress as the season moves on, they are just stuck in a gutter with no signs of life. They have owned the first half against Rider in the past when playing at home having taken down 7-3 since 1997. Tonight I expect that to change, and hopefully Rider will get me a never in doubt 1H winner.
Play On - Road favorites of 6 or more points vs. the first half line (RIDER) - a very good team (>=+8 PPG differential) against a terrible team (<=-8 PPG differential), after 2 straight wins by 10 points or more.
(43-16 since 1997.) (72.9%, +25.4 units. Rating = 3*)
The average first half line posted in these games was: Team favored by 9.6
The average first half score in these games was: Team 38.9, Opponent 25.9 (Average first half point differential = +13)
The situation's record this season is: (1-0).
Over the last 3 seasons the situation's record is: (8-3).
Over the last 5 seasons the situation's record is: (12-8).
The situational power trends for this game have a very slight edge in favor of Rider 10-9. However many of Niagara's SPT are based from 1997. So in turn I give a bigger edge to Rider here.
NIAGARA is 1-8 against the 1rst half line (-7.8 Units) after a loss by 10 points or more over the last 2 seasons.
The average score was NIAGARA 28.0, OPPONENT 37.8 - (Rating = 1*)
It should also be noted that Niagara's best player may not be on the floor and if he is, surely he will not be at a 100%.
Niagara 1/4 11:12A Antoine Mason G Foot Questionable is questionable Friday (1/7) vs. Rider
