LAA at SEA
LAA (#2 in the AL, 4-6 in last 10 games, 38-26 on the road)
vs
SEA (#7 in the AL, 6-4 in last 10 games, 37-29 at home)
My first reaction is: Same as last week, the Angels have been struggling with starting pitching lately. Bell has a WHIP of 2.51 overall in 3 starts. I don't think that LAA will get swept, but I'm not overly confident in their recent performance, and I don't like the Game 3 matchup. I'll have to think about this chase throughout the day. For Seattle, I've been impressed with their performance this season. I may have to think about this one before committing.
Starting Pitchers
Game 1
Saunders (10-7, 5.27 era, Last 3: 2-1, 7.82 era, Road: 5-4, 6.12 era, LAA is 6-4 in Saunders' last 10 starts) versus
French (4-3, 3.92 era, L3: 2-1, 5.26 era, Home: 2-2, 2.84 era, SEA is 4-1 in French's starts this season)
Game 2

Fister (1-1, 3.42 era, L3: 1-1, 4.66 era, Home: 1-1, 3.60 era, SEA is 1-3 in Fisters's starts)
Game 3
Bell (1-0, 10.80, L3: 1-1, 13.03 era, Road: 1-1, 11.87 era, LAA is 3-1 in Bell's starts) versus
Hernandez (13-5, 2.77 era, L3: 1-1, 3.15 era, Home: 5-3, 3.68 era, SEA is 7-3 in Hernandez's last 10 starts)
Bullpen ERA: LAA 4.7 SEA 3.77
Off. Power Rating: LAA 1.103(season) 1.067(last 20 games)

NYY at BAL
NYY (#1 in the AL, 7-3 in last 10 games, 37-28 on the road)
vs
BAL (#13 in the AL, 5-5 in last 10 games, 32-33 at home)
My first reaction is: The Yankees should dominate the starting pitching and offensive production.
Starting Pitchers
Game 1
Pettitte (11-6, 4.18 era, Last 3: 2-0, 4.50 era, Road: 6-2, 3.58 era, NYY is 6-4 in Pettitte's last 10 starts) versus

CHW at MIN
CHW (#9 in the AL, 2-8 in last 10 games, 28-37 on the road)
vs
MIN (#8 in the AL, 7-3 in last 10 games, 37-29 at home)
My first reaction is: Why am I looking at this game? MIN is bringing less that stellar starting pitching, but CHW has not been winning recently. However, Chicago's last 7 games were against the Yankees and Red Sox.
Starting Pitchers
Game 1
Floyd (10-8, 3.95 era, Last 3: 1-1, 3.10 era, Road: 5-5, 5.22 era, CHW is 5-5 in Floyd's last 10 starts) versus

Game 2

TEX at home versus TOR
TOR (#10 in the AL, 3-7 in last 10 games, 24-38 on the road)
vs
TEX (#4 in the AL, 5-5 in last 10 games, 41-24 at home)
My first reaction is: The Rangers can smell a playoff spot as the Angels are only 5 games ahead and BOS is 3.5 games ahead. The Jays are done for the season. Plus, Haladay won't be pitching in this series.
Starting Pitchers
Game 1
Cecil (5-3, 4.96 era, Last 3: 0-2, 8.25 era, Road: 3-1, 5.45 era, TOR is 4-5 in Cecil's last 9 starts) versus
Holland (7-8, 4.95 era, L3: 2-1, 4.50 era, Home: 5-4, 5.70 era, TEX is 6-4 in Hollands's last 10 starts this season)
Game 2
Rzepczynski (2-3, 3.58 era, L3: 1-0, 1.96 era, Road: 0-1, 4.05 era, TOR is 4-6 in Rz' last 10 starts) versus
Nippert (4-2, 4.02 era, L3: 1-1, 4.91 era, Home: 3-0, 1.76 era, TEX is 3-3 in Nippert's starts)
Game 3
Romero (11-3, 3.95 era, L3: 1-1, 6.00 era, Road: 4-3, 3.86 era, TOR is 4-6 in Romero's last 10 starts) versus
Feldman (14-4, 3.72 era, L3: 2-0, 2.45 era, Home: 4-3, 4.56 era, TEX is 7-3 in Feldman's last 10 starts)
Bullpen ERA: TOR 4.02 TEX 3.87
Off. Power Rating: TOR 1.008(season) 0.938(last 20 games)
TEX 1.023(season) 1.020(last 20)
