Rutgers/Pitt
I went to last year's drubbing @ Rutgers where Pitt came out flat. I think the score was 34-6 or something like that in favor off Rutgers. Tino Sunseri looked absolutely awful. It was also the longest college football game i had ever been to. Needed an ice pack for my a$$ (if you've ever sat in Rutger's bleachers you would know). Anyway on to the game.
Rutgers 9-1 (5-0) vs Pitt 4-6 (1-4) -1'
What's at stake?
Pitt needs 2 wins to become bowl eligible. Rutgers can win the division after blowing it last year and get a BCS berth if they win the next 2. Rutgers hasn't won a conference championship since 1991.
Rutgers only loss came at the hands of Kent state, a team whose been playing great football all season long.
Pitt has been so jekyll and hyde this season. Their biggest win was against an underachieving Virginia Tech team. Their best effort was at Notre Dame, a loss that deflated them.
Both teams are similar in terms of rushing yards. Pitt has a sizeable edge in passing 271.8 vs 214 and total yards 411.3 vs 354.8.
If Rutgers does not look ahead to next weeks game vs Louisville they should be able to knock off the Pitt Panthers with ease. The key will be Rutgers defense who held Cincy to 3 points last weekend.
The Key to a Rutgers win will be the play of Gary Nova who's looked awful in his last 4 games tossing 10 inceptions. He will need to play alittle better than average today
This is a tough game to wager on today as their are many other games that appear sexier than this. But it's hard not to back the Scarlet knights as the underdog here.
The weather will be 32 degrees (bitter with wind chill) and winds gusting to 30mph throughout the day with snow showers. Look for both teams to get their running games going. If Rutgers can contain Ray Graham Pitt has no chance to compete.
Rutgers 21- Pitt 10
Am playing Rutgers and the under.
BOL!
Life can only be understood backwords. But it must be lived forward.
