Quick thought on Early NFL lines - Thoughts?
Texans -16 to 17
Line is really too big. I am a die hard Texans fan and this number is just silly. Gotta be some letdown from the big win over CHI in primetime and Texans really do not attempt to run up the score at all. To get to this numbers Jaxs will have to turn the ball over quite a few times. They can win by this much but I just do not think so.
SF -5
Solid line here but early lean is to SF because CHI is due for a letdown after that SNF game. Playing SNF then MNF is tough on teams. Texans showed up for the Green Bay game but they played like crap. CHI is in the exact same position BUT they had a really rough game vs. Houston. SF looks solid here but do want to see about the injuries to the two QBS.

Shoulda probably bumped this today. I hope someone read it and acted.
Does anyone has stats on how teams do after playing SNF or MNF then playing SNF or MNF the following week? I have seen the Texans play horribly twice this year and both were following a prime time game.
I REALLY WORRY about the Texans on Thursday. After that game against Jaxs today they are going to be hard pressed to deal with Detroit on Thanksgiving. That line will be interesting. I figure the Texans for maybe a -1 to -3 favorite and I would be looking hard at Detroit. Calvin is going to go off against the Texans, just look what Blackmon did today.
Also, Jaxs had to play defense on something close to 90 plays today. They have to be spent for next week. Tennessee is nothing special but they should slaughter Jaxs next week.
Also, look at STL vs NYJ today. They had that OT tie with SF last week and came back flat.
So, Detroit and Tenn already on the radar for the coming week. Watch for the early lines, as in SF game -5 was good. Det and Tenn will have good starting lines when they come out. Jump on them.

DET +3 -115 (be patient here might find 3.5)
TEN -3
Good lines. If I take my heart out I know how hard the Texans played Sunday and now they have to come back Thursday and play Detroit in Detroit. Tough to do well. This is just something for you guys to think about. Texans have had two very tough games in a row and get this short week and have to play Calvin and Co. I will be rooting for the Texans but I am very wary of this game. Detroit has a really good shot.
Ten -3 is excellent. Just remember Jaxs played like 2 football games on Defense Sunday vs Houston. Big day on Offense for Jaxs vs Hou but HOU was worn the hell out after that rain drenched battle with CHI. Love TEN -3. I mean LOVE LOVE! Jaxs will be so flat and worn out after that game they will get beat down by Tennessee.

Did some research. Texans game kinda bothers me. Looking at the numbers, Texans played Defense for 66 plays and 31 minutes. That is really not bad. Texans really did not play more D in that game than a normal game. I think they will be fine vs. Detroit and just cannot pick Detroit in the game now. This is not second guessing, it is me being more diligent. The game Detroit played vs. GB was pretty much the same on the time on D/plays level and it was Detroit vs GB which is a tough rivalry game that they fought hard and lost in.
I cannot recommend Detroit vs Houston AT ALL. I just do not see Detroit running the ball here with the RBs they have. Calvin should have a decent game but Joseph has been a solid shut down corner against some really good WR so far. They really did not do that well against a depleted GB defense. What the heck are they going to do against this Texans D?
Take away the recommendation on Detroit. Both teams played a tough game and in the end the Texans are the better team. I pass that one all the way and would lean to the Texans if I had to play the game.

Tennessee has Shed bet written all over it.
Right now it is -3 EVEN and it is most likely my play of the week.
Consider this
Tenn had a bye. They were relaxing, healing, and spending time with their families while on the other hand JAX was playing Defense for 92 plays and 41:40.
We are talking about a completely spent Defense vs a totally rested Defense. JAX is going to be horrible on D in this one. Tenn has enough weapons to really break the Jax D fast just like SF did last night.
Ten -3 even is a great play for the upcoming sunday. JAX will not show up on D and it will show.

Other consideration even though I do not see a line.
Clevelands D was actually on the field for a little bit longer than JaXS. Less plays but more time. Still they gave it all they had on Sunday and have to come right back and deal with PITT.
The numbers
CLE vs PITT
Plays on D- 78 to 57
1st downs given up - 30 to 12
Time playing D - 42:16 to 27:09
That is a ton of Defense that Cleveland had to play and it started to show in the 4th quarter vs Dallas. That should carry over to the game vs Pitt.
We need to see the line and figure out if Batch is going to be Pitt QB but that only helps us because it will keep the line low. I know Pitt is starting to become more of a pass happy team but they do have a two to three headed monster of fresh running backs to carry the load. They averaged 5.0 yrds a carry for the Balt D. I am sure they can do this well vs the tired Cleveland D. Balt also really had a hard time running vs Pitt. 2.0 yrds a carry from RAY RICE. That is playing Defense.
Let us see the line but PITT looks like another solid play for Sunday.
