9/14 N F L Week 2

In the early games, I'm looking at the Green Bay Packers @ the Detroit Lions.

For Green Bay, they are 3-1 ATS the last 4 @ Detroit.

In the last 2 seasons, they are 4-0 ATS and SU vs. Detroit.

They are 10-1 ATS away off a home game.

They are 8-2 ATS away in their last 10 road games.

In the last 2 years, they are 8-1 when the line is between -3 and +3.

For Detroit, they are 1-8 ATS and SU in their last 9 games.

Their head coach, Rod Marinelli, is 1-8 vs. an opponent coming off a division game.

His record within the NFC North Division is 3-8-1 ATS during his 2 years there.

For Green Bay, this is also the 3rd year for their head coach, Mike McCarthy, and he is 10-3 SU within the NFC North Division with all 3 losses coming against Chicago.

He is 9-4 ATS within the division, again with 3 of the ATS losses coming against Chicago.

So once again, like last Monday, we have a situation where McCarthy has had another head coaches' number.

And Detroit is coming off a loss against a 1st year head coach and a rookie QB.

And right from the start, it wasn't even close.

I'll take Green Bay -3.

LATE AFTERNOON GAMES

In the late afternoon games, I'm looking at the San Diego Chargers @ the Denver Broncos.

For week 2 of the NFL season, the O/U is 15-2-1 (88% Over) since 1994 for teams that are coming off a week 1 road win of 21 or more points.

In week 1, Denver won 41-14 @ Oakland.

Thus, they qualify for this trend.

Also, for Denver, the O/U is 10-3 in their last 13 games @ home. Defense has not been their strong suit.

Between these two teams, the O/U is 2-0 in the last 2 @ Denver and 3-1 in the last 4.

Both of these teams have potent offenses and will be looking to get a leg up on the race to win the AFC West Division.

I'll go with the OVER 46-.

Good Luck Everyone
