Very sad to hear this. He was a great fan of hockey & was one of the very few you could always depend on to provide insight on that particular sport. Condolences to his family, friends & those who knew him personally in the sports forum community.

A gentleman of forumville from the start. Things were much different then.... More open. More competitive. Unbiased. Agendaless. We policed our own.

All that is gone.

Lippsman and his ilk held in higher regard! Carried the responsibility and gave back.

Good things of times past. Never to return. Never will be experienced again.

Rest in Peace

interesting thought

geg1951 - well said
Can we ask to have him "always online" like those two gentlemen you mentioned? I always felt that was a classy move. Just a thought and a respectful gesture

Sad to hear.

Always a sense of humor too, with all his other qualities people have mentioned. :)

He was always fun to read, even though I did not bet hockey much past the odd bet.

All the best to his family.

I always looked forward to the hockey season because I knew he would have so much information to share with everyone. He was always so good in answering my questions.

I haven't been on this forum much, so I was stunned when I saw this thread. I was ready to see who he liked in tonight's games. I just read his last post on 12/22, and sure enough, he had plenty of great info to share.

Rest in peace Lippsman.

I’m sorry to see this. Lippsman was a productive and common presence here. His contributions definitely brought value to statfox and although I never had the opportunity to know him personally, he was family to me here as a peer on this platform. RIP
