for what it's worth,
Here we go, i have waited almost a year and a half for the debut of Ricardo Sidney for the Dogs. A Top 5 recruit two years ago & had to sit out last year & the first 9 games this year. The Dogs waited till the season almost began to release their schedule, as they were trying to get nine games in before tonight's matchup. In doing so the Dogs had to play 5 games in 5 days, the last one, an exibition matchup on wednesday which allowed the team to play with Sidney in the lineup. The 6-foot-10, 275-pound sophomore may not be dominant in his regular season debut tonight against Virginia Tech in the Battle at Atlantis doubleheader at the Atlantis Casino and Resort in Paradise Island, Bahamas. "I've got a long way (to go)," Sidney said Wednesday after playing just 15 minutes in an exhibition because of cramps. Sidney, who scored 10 points, admitted that he was not in shape Wednesday and won't be 100 percent Saturday. He hopes to be full speed by MSU's Southeastern Conference opener against Alabama on Jan. 8. The Hokies return all 5 starters from last season, but it has not carried over as well as Greenberg would like as the Hokies are 5-4 su & 2-5 ats. Many of you know i have faded the Dogs all year as they are 7-2 su, but 0-5 ats. Va Tech has already went on the road this year to Kansas St & lost by 16. This will be the 1st game away for the Dogs & after this game in the Bahamas, go to Hawaii for a holiday tourny. I have watched a good bit of Richmond/Ga Tech, the 1st game of the double header there & both teams are having trouble in the arena, looks like it has been thrown together. This is tough for me to do, but even with Sidney tonight, what chemistry was there will be mixedup tonight..........
Va Tech -6 2*
MSU/Va Tech under 129
Va Tech -3 2*
