Well I am 25, and my little bro is 22, we joined this site a couple days ago. From Houston, TX and love our Astros. We follow sports very closely as I'm sure most of you guys do. Been betting for about 3 months now, and after a rocky start we have been doing great as of late. One thing I've learned is definately STAY AWAY FROM HOCKEY! I would have to say Coll FB, BB and NBA are our specialty. I love this site, we tried this to see what it was all about - and already it has paid itself off. The message board on here is amazing - you guys come up with some great stuff. So I will add a little something of mine own. Coll BB, watch out for Loyola MD - they are on my board as a must pick.... and haven't let us down yet. And for NBA, keep an eye on Memphis - they get no pub and still have the 4th best record in their league (i'm bias about the rockets because that's our team, but they should be better too as the year rolls on). As for tonight... my picks are:

College BB / NFL

Cal 0 (-105)
Columbia +160
Harvard -180
Panthers +3

Hi jrossusf.

It appears to be sinner time in the thread. It is the point when sinners gather...

I was born. I can pretty well back this up. My mother will be the witness.

First trials at gambling. Those crazy "crown an anchors" games, at local fairs and bingos.

So for sure, when I read chasing stuff, I gets an inside chuckle!!!

Biggest laugh gambling and claim to fame! I won four turkeys at a bingo, all in one night!!!

I ate them all. I was like hungry...

But you cannot chase them.

Turkeys look stupid, when you have them live on a farm, and you chase them around with an axe, dinner on the mind, they become super intelligent!!!

I was damn lucky to win some frozen ones. You hold the axe up, and they look fearless. Just like the ice...

Trader now mostly. A reader of minds. And minds are wrong a lot.

Chicken stories...

Well, chickens are stupid. Being from a farm of sorts, a very small one, food was food!

You could just grab a chicken by the neck, and scream "The end is NEAR!!!".

It did not seem to bother the chickens a whole lot. Chickens running around with their head cut of. It's true. They do.

However...

Chickens have a nasty plan. Do not tell George. There plan is to lay eggs, give humans cholesterol, and take over the planet!!!

I smoked the odd refer before going into the hen house to gather eggs. I always heard them talking of the grand conspiracy.

"Take our children today, eat them. That's what humans do!".

Then the chickens would go into great political speeches of rebellion and poisoning the human race. I just stole the eggs man, and escaped for my life out of the chicken house!!! A little refer helped control the fear...

That should be the title of the book I plan to write. "Turkeys are from Heaven, Chickens are from hell!!!".

Chasing Turkey's huh? Must be fun... but I'm sure the Bingo night was classic - I mean that takes skill - ...knowing which box to cross off after called is a true gift from god. So wait, you won 4 times in Bingo right? Now was this before or after someone else had their 5 boxes called? You know the Miracle Ear does work wonders..... but you have to have your five boxes checked off before everyone else to win. Anyway, best of luck to you - ... maybe one day you might get a little crazy and try Shuffleboard, but make sure you consult your online Psychic and have your palm read before to make sure its your lucky day.

WHOA!!!

I will kick you or anyone's butt at it!!! Shuffle board! I know how to lay the rocks, the rebounds, I'm a feakin, expert at it!!! Want to see that last rock hang over the table's edge???

I 'm the man!!!

Jrossusf, it is kind of fun, to explore our minds, and see where it all began.

The gambling...

It was those early years. I had this big fat friend, like 6'2, as my partner. Maybe 14 years old at the time.

A freakin nerd. So big, when he crossed the floor, every thing shook! But when he took up the rocks. (The things you slide across the table), he got into a zone.

So silent, you could barley him breath. He loved it! I was his partner. I was very good at the angles. We won 12, 21- 0 games in a row. A shcool record. No BS!!! lol

We called it a skunk. That should prove things...

I love that game!!!

I also loved taking my mother out to Bingo. It was a trip. She didn't drink or smoke, but had that passion for gambling!!!

I had do all the drinking and smoking myself, but a man must be a man...

It's your mother. You do it!!!

Hey all

Name is Colin, I am 22 years old. Born in CT, but moved to the great state of Texas at the age of 2, so I consider myself a Texan. Played college baseball at Rice and was a member of the NCAA National Champ squad of 2003. I am currently finishing up school and getting ready to go into the real world. I fund my "investing" through a boring data entry job. I am having a wonderful time being a member of this community and thanks to all who participate here.

Yes Nick is my real name, I know it's a real original and creative forum name LOL. Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. 38 years old, married 14 years, a 5 year old boy, and 4 year old girl on tuesday she turns 4 and one more on the way due April 11. Started capping games about 4 years ago. Started playing sports lotteries and from there progressed to online betting and a local bookie. Discovered Statfox, invented the star system and made a $hitload of money in a very short time span. Have learned a lot from this forum, it's given me a unique insight to the people that post here. Some very interesting characters here for sure. I have been around here long enough to see who is full of wisdom and who is full of $hit ROFL. I have posted many things in the way of systems and such and I see happily that it still continues with new posters and former lurkers that have become posters. My favourite sports to invest in are the daily grind sports NHL, MLB and NBA since they give the most plays year in and year out. My posting record on here over the course of the forum is probably around 50% but I keep trying to find new ways to apply things I learn to money management since thats what I know is the key to profit.

Hi everyone

I'm 34, married, three kids(14,8,5) and I live about 45 min. southeast of Pittsburgh, and a die-hard follower of the Black and Gold. I work at a brewery for a living and really enjoy my work, how many people love to go to work each day... not many!
My favorite sport is baseball but I 'll watch everything under the sun... I usually only make plays on NFL and NCAA Football with the locals.
I'd like to thank the regulars at this forum for thier great insight, and with you're help, I've turned the corner --- and the future looks even brighter...thanks again...

A Hip Intro

Real name is Bryan, 38 years of age and reside in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. Big Sox and Hawks fan, and grew up in Cicero, IL (The Capone hood) and cut my teeth at gambling at Sportsman's, Hawthorne, and Maywood (buggies) racetracks.

By day, a salesman; engaged to a great gal with a wedding date fast approaching (so I need some winners to pay the bills :) )

Owned a couple of standardbreds in the early nineties, and have been playing the ponies since I was 16 or so. Five years ago, a few partners and I started a consulting firm where we teach the general public how to decipher the DRF and make sound plays. We have a handful of clients, mostly Vegas casinos and OTB locations all around the US. One of my college buddies, who now lives in Wisconsin, is the best handicapper I know. He is an executive and runs his own business, but publishes several horse racing primers and betting sheets which he touts to his own base of customers. He is the originator of the "primer logic publication" that I am such a big fan of. I use it in my presentations and have added some of his "beliefs" to my horse handicapping offering.

Love to bet the NFL and, more recently, college BB. Learning a lot on this forum and appreciate everyone's efforts and inputs.

If anyone is in Vegas for this year's KY Derby; look me up. I will be hosting the Derby party at the Flamingo (Now owned by Harrah's). Not sure if it is an invite only party; I think anyone can come for a small fee.

Good luck to everyone in the coming months.

PS: Favorite rock band, The Tragically Hip (thus my namesake), from Canada. I am sure a few of you Canucks have heard of them.

This guy's music is possibly the best music to come out of Canada ever. Jeff Martin.

ZBT here.....

Great thread guys! I was looking for it a couple of weeks ago but couldn't find it....

I'm 34 (as of yesterday!) and have a wife and 2 young kids - boy and girl (almost 5 and almost 2). I'm not a big computer guy, but can't get away from this site!!!

Love to wager on all sports, but have lost a lot more than I have won. I love to follow a few of the cappers here and as long as I don't stray from that, I'm sure I would be fine!

This site has been great. I love the MLB the best but don't have any trends to back it up. Looking forward to the big MLB cappers to post (since I have only been here for a while, I haven't seen them post). Hopefully by following the big guys here, we'll do ok during the season.

Again, great thread, and I wish you all the best of luck!!!!

GO RED SOX!!!!
