Indiana Pacers: Indiana (7-8 straight-up and against the spread) will be playing the second half of a back-to-back after visiting Sacramento on Friday (result pending). Golden State Warriors: The Warriors (9-6 SU, 9-5-1 ATS) last played on Thursday night, a 106-105 win over Denver as 1½-point home underdogs with power forward David Lee exploding for 31 points. NBA Betting Preview
Date: 12/1/2012 at 10:30 p.m. (ET)
Opening Lines: LA -10½, O/U 198
Television: NBA-TV
Sacramento Kings: The Kings (4-10 SU, 4-9-1 ATS) will head down the California coast after the Indiana game on Friday. That could be problematic at 1-6 ATS in their last seven games on zero days rest. Sacramento has lost all five of its road games this season (2-3 ATS), but this is only the second one played since November 11.
Los Angeles Clippers: The Clippers (9-6 SU, 8-7 ATS) ended a four-game losing streak with a 101-95 home win over Minnesota on Wednesday. That was a failure to cover as 9-point favorites, making Los Angeles 0-5 ATS in its last five. The "over" is 3-0 in the last thee for the Clips, just clearing the 194-point total in the last game. These Pacific Division rivals are meeting for the first time this year. Sacramento is 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings in Los Angeles, with the "under" going 5-0-1 in those contests.

NBA game of the day: Grizzlies at Spurs
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Memphis Grizzlies at San Antonio Spurs (-5.5, 194.5)
The San Antonio Spurs are dealing with distractions associated with Gregg Popovich’s decision to rest four of his better players on Thursday and will look to sidestep the chaos when they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. The organization was fined $250,000 by NBA commissioner David Stern on Friday, one day after Popovich had Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Danny Green fly home prior to Thursday’s game in Miami to rest up for the Grizzlies.
Memphis has the best record in the NBA and enters with a four-game winning streak. The Grizzlies are playing just their sixth road game – they are 4-1 – when they go up against the Spurs. “We’ve been playing pretty decent all year long at home,” Memphis coach Lionel Hollins said. “It was a long homestand. It’s probably time to go back on the road. It’s not easy on the road, but I think your juices get flowing and you get stale being at home.” San Antonio is 4-2 at home but hasn’t played at the AT&T Center since losing to the Los Angeles Clippers on Nov. 19.
TV: 8:30 p.m. ET, SportsSouth (Memphis), KENS (San Antonio)
ABOUT THE GRIZZLIES (12-2): Memphis gave up just 78 points in Friday’s victory over the Detroit Pistons, matching a season-low for points allowed set against the Cleveland Cavaliers two games earlier. The Grizzlies forced 22 turnovers with point guard Mike Conley racking up a season-high six steals to raise his season average to 2.46 per game. Memphis has held 13 consecutive opponents under 100 since giving up 101 in a season-opening loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. The Grizzlies lead the league by allowing just 90.1 points per game.
ABOUT THE SPURS (13-4): San Antonio’s reserves gave the Heat quite a battle before falling 105-100. The Spurs were playing their fourth game in five nights – all on the road – and Popovich decided it was more important to have his key players well-rested for the Grizzlies than have them play against Miami. Gary Neal scored a team-high 20 points and Tiago Splitter tallied 18 as five San Antonio players scored in double figures. “Pop is the coach of the San Antonio Spurs,” Neal said. “He did what’s best for us.”
TRENDS:
* Grizzlies are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games.
* Under is 5-1 in Grizzlies’ last six overall.
* Over is 6-0 in Spurs’ last six overall.
* Grizzlies are 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings.
BUZZER BEATERS:
1. The Grizzlies are just 1-15 over their last 16 regular-season visits to San Antonio.
2. Ginobili scored 20 points and drained six 3-pointers in Thursday’s rout of the Orlando Magic.
3. Memphis has allowed just 79.3 points over their last three games.

Bucks look to add to Hornets misery Monday
MILWAUKEE BUCKS (8-7)
at NEW ORLEANS HORNETS (4-11)
Tip-off: Monday, 8:05 p.m. ET
Line: Milwaukee -4, Total: 189
Milwaukee heads into New Orleans on Monday night looking its first back-to-back wins since November 12-17.
The Bucks are coming off of a big win over the Celtics on Saturday. They were down 27-11 after the first quarter, but played a stellar rest of the way to win 91-88. Milwaukee may have found its new center in Larry Sanders, who is averaging 14.0 PPG, 14.0 RPG and 7.5 BPG in the past two games. The Bucks have already beaten the Hornets this season, winning 117-113 on Nov. 17. And this time they do not have to face star rookie Anthony Davis, who is still out with a bad ankle. However, New Orleans is 6-1 ATS in the past seven meetings in this series and 19-7 SU when hosting Milwaukee since 1996.
Can the Bucks score a rare win in New Orleans Monday night? For the answer, connect to NBA Best Bets for all the Expert picks throughout the entire 2012-13 season. The experts continue to stay sizzling on NBA Best Bets this week, going a collective 28-14 ATS (67%) in the past seven days with StatFox Gary going 6-1 ATS. For NBA Totals, StatFox Scott is 32-12 (73%) on NBA Totals for the season, while Gary is a perfect 11-0 in Totals in the past nine days, and is 60% (18-12-1) on totals this season. For Best Bets, the experts are a collective 101-86-8 ATS (54%) this year. StatFox Gary leads the way at 65% ATS (17-9-2) Best Bets for the year, as he's currently on a 12-4 ATS run (75%) since Nov. 17. StatFox Scott's 8-4 ATS run puts him at 58% ATS (25-18) Best Bets for the season, while StatFox Brian's 7-3 ATS week puts him at 54% ATS (27-23-3) for the year.
The Bucks are coming off a big win against Boston, but they still need their backcourt of Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis to step it up in order to climb the Eastern Conference ranks. Jennings, who is averaging 6.5 APG on the year, is averaging only 3.8 APG over the past four games. Also, in those four games, Ellis is shooting just 38% from the field, going 1-of-11 on three-point attempts. Ellis is a career 46% shooter from the field. This duo is very important to the Bucks and as they start to heat up, this Milwaukee team will only become more and more dangerous. SF Ersan Ilyasova responded to Friday's benching by scoring 15 points and grabbing four rebounds in the win over Boston the following night.
The Hornets have dropped nine of their past 10 games, and are no longer playing with the same competitive fire that has been typical under Monty Williams. They have let up over 100 points in eight of these 10 games. Davis’ shot-blocking was very important to this team and without his 2.2 BPG a game, the Hornets haven’t been playing good defense inside. Offensively, the team is still getting a lot out of Ryan Anderson and Greivis Vasquez. Anderson is averaging 19.0 PPG and 8.2 RPG on 44% shooting from three over the past five games. In the same time, Vasquez is averaging 15.8 PPG and 9.0 APG on 53% FG and 47% threes (8-for-17).

Bank shots: NBA betting news and notes
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Each week, we look back on the NBA betting scene and give you the best –and worst – basketball bets, as well as some spots to keep an eye on with the upcoming schedule.
For the week of Nov. 25-Dec. 1
Hottest ATS team
Oklahoma City Thunder – This week: 4-0 ATS, Season: 12-5-1
Oklahoma City has the third-best ATS record in the league and has covered in its last five games. The Thunder hit the road for a date with the Nets in Brooklyn on Tuesday before returning to Chesapeake Energy Arena for a five-game homestand.
Coldest ATS team
Orlando Magic – This week: 0-3 ATS, Season: 6-8-1
The Magic had a tough schedule this past week, blowing covers in three straight games to the Celtics, Spurs and Nets. To make matters worse, PG Jameer Nelson missed Friday’s loss because of an Achilles injury. The Magic have another tough week ahead of them with road dates in Golden State, Utah and Sacramento.
Hottest over bet
Houston Rockets – This week: 3-0 over, Season: 10-6 O/U
The Rockets’ offense has taken off in the last four games, averaging a whopping 117.5 points per game. James Harden and the frontcourt duo of Chandler Parson and Patrick Patterson are leading the charge, lifting Houston over the total in its last four contests. The Rockets have a tough schedule this week that includes dates with the Lakers, Spurs and Mavs.
Hottest under bet
Milwaukee Bucks – This week: 0-4 under, Season: 5-9-1 O/U
The Bucks have played under the total in five straight games. A major reason for Milwaukee’s recent dip below the total is a struggling offense that is averaging 89.8 points per game during that stretch - seven points lower than its season average. The Bucks hit the road for two games in New Orleans and San Antonio this week before hosting the Bobcats.
Scouting the schedule
-After a home date with the Magic on Sunday, the Lakers hit the road for seven of their next eight games. Los Angeles is just 1-4 ATS on the road this season.
-The Denver Nuggets are also about to the hit the road. After a home contest with the Raptors on Monday, the Nuggets hit the road for five straight games and six of their next seven. Denver is 8-4 O/U away from home this season.

NBA game of the day: Clippers at Jazz
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Los Angeles Clippers at Utah Jazz (OFF)
The Utah Jazz are undefeated at home and the Los Angeles Clippers hope they have ended their woes when visiting Salt Lake City. The Jazz put their 6-0 home mark on the line against the Clippers on Monday and Los Angeles looks for its second straight road win against Utah. The Clippers won 107-105 last February after going nine years without winning in Salt Lake City. The victory snapped a 16-game losing streak in Utah.
The Clippers have won two straight games after losing their previous four. They routed the Sacramento Kings 116-81 on Saturday and are tied for first place in the Pacific Division with the Golden State Warriors. Los Angeles is 3-3 on the road. Utah has lost two consecutive contests and allowed 124 points – second-most of the campaign – in Saturday’s loss to Houston. The Jazz are in second place in the Northwest Division, five games behind the Oklahoma City Thunder.
TV: 9 p.m. ET, Prime Ticket (Los Angeles), ROOT (Utah)
ABOUT THE CLIPPERS (10-6): The Los Angeles bench outscored Sacramento’s reserves 58-26 in Saturday’s rout. Guards Jamal Crawford (17 points) and Eric Bledsoe (14) and forward Matt Barnes (12) all scored in double digits. “They are just solid,” star point guard Chris Paul said. “They are good teammates and guys that you need on your team if you are going to try to win a championship.” Crawford led the Clippers in scoring for the sixth time this season and has reached double figures in every game this season.
ABOUT THE JAZZ (9-9): Utah has been shaky on defense and has allowed over 100 points in four of the past five games. Houston rolled up 39 fourth-quarter points and tallied at least 27 in every quarter while beating the Jazz. “Lately, we haven’t been getting stops,” guard Randy Foye said. “You can’t look at different numbers and plays from the game and say, ‘If we would’ve got this, or if we would’ve did that.’ Top to bottom, we’re not getting the job done on defense.”
TRENDS:
* Clippers are 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.
* Jazz are 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.
* Over is 4-0 in Clippers’ last four overall.
* Over is 5-1 in the last six meetings.
BUZZER BEATERS:
1. Los Angeles has won just two of its past 40 road games in the series.
2. The Jazz will be without F Marvin Williams (concussion) for the third straight game and F Derrick Favors (arch) could miss his second consecutive contest.
3. The Clippers are 8-0 when holding opponents to 43 percent or less from the field.

Thunder at Nets: What bettors need to know
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oklahoma City Thunder at Brooklyn Nets (+3.5, 191)
The Brooklyn Nets had a chance to make a statement in Saturday's game at Miami, but they wilted in the second half in falling by 13 points to the reigning NBA champions. The Nets get another chance at a statement game when they host Kevin Durant and the red-hot Oklahoma Thunder on Tuesday. Brooklyn is 7-1 at the Barclays Center and has won six straight on its home court since blowing a 22-point lead against Minnesota in its second game of the season.
Oklahoma City has ripped off five consecutive victories and is coming off a rout at New Orleans in which it led by 27 points after three quarters. The league's highest-scoring team, the Thunder have won their last four by an average of 25 points. Durant is shooting 61.8 percent from the floor in that span as he bids for a fourth consecutive league scoring title. Oklahoma City has won the past six meetings with the Nets.
TV: 7:30 p.m. ET, FSOK (Oklahoma City), YES (New York), NBATV
ABOUT THE THUNDER (14-4, 12-5-1 ATS): Center Kendrick Perkins is coming off his best two games of the season, scoring 12 points against Utah and 10 against New Orleans while shooting a combined 11-for-15 from the floor. It marked only the second and third times that Perkins has scored in double figures. The 6-10 Perkins underwent surgery on his groin and wrist in July and had been questionable to be ready for the start of the season.
ABOUT THE NETS (11-5, 10-4-2 ATS): Brooklyn scored only 30 points in the second half and 11 in the fourth quarter against Miami. Andray Blatche scored 20 points in his second start for ailing center and leading scorer Brook Lopez (foot), who will sit out his third straight game. However, the elevation of Blatche to the starting lineup has had a ripple effect on Brooklyn's bench, which has produced 23 and 20 points, respectively, in the last two games.
TRENDS:
* Under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings at Nets.
* Favorite is 12-4 ATS in the last 16 meetings.
* Thunder are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings.
* Under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings.
BUZZER BEATERS:
1. Oklahoma City leads the league in free-throw percentage (83.4). The Nets rank 27th (71.9).
2. Lopez underwent a precautionary MRI exam that came back negative. He missed practice Monday and is listed as day-to-day.
3. Thunder PG Russell Westbrook has been disruptive at both ends of the floor in the last three games, averaging nine assists, 4.3 steals and six turnovers.
