Forum Members Profile Updates

We have done this here before and I think it helps out many times, during the season. Some here are better cappers than others, but we can all contribute in some way. Think about it some are very good at certain sports, some may have certain knowledge that others may not. Some of you may know someone connected with a team or wise guy. Something as easy as letting others here know about the late weather changes or a late player scratch or injury, or a nice stat find or angle in The FoxSheets. We have a guy here-JVF, who gave us info on his sharp mans late line moves and a lot of us cashed in with him. We can all help in some ways, so lets not be shy. Any of the lurkers up there, now is your chance to give something back. Lets not make it the same handful of posters every year who contribute, so get involved.
Please post your expert areas or sports that you are best in and what part the country you are from. If we all continue to work together we can make a big differance and help one another to a winning season.
I'll start,
I'm from upstate NewYork, about 16 south of Albany. I have been capping sports for longer than many of you here have been around. I will be the big 60 in early Dec. My expert areas are in the NHL and MLB. I'm a stat and record keeping hound. I also enjoy some friendly ballbusting here when certain posters asume the proper position.

Ragtop, good idea

Guess you can tell by the name what sport I love - FOOTBALL!

Located in north-central New Jersey, just minutes from the shore, Monmouth Park, and the Stone Pony in Asbury Park. And no, I don't speak "bada-bing", different area. LOL!

Have done some serious research in past seasons keeping a watchful eye on stats, injuries, weather, situations, etc. I'm a die-hard Niner fan, but objective when laying money.

Since watching and learning here at the forum, my approach to capping NFL this year will be different, and I plan to help out whenever possible.

What position is that Ragtop. Remember I use soap on a rope for that very reason. LOL.

I'm Dave aka JustDave or JD.

I live in SD, but that's going to change this month. Moving to Boise, home of the Smurf Turf (blue astro turf at Boise St U.)

We are moving there for a better life for our children, who are 2 years and 5 weeks old. Both girls.

I cap about 3-4 hours per day. I watch Extra Innings on Cable, and MLB.TV on my laptop at the same time. I also work as a nurse to keep level headed. I'm in critical care, an area of medicine that requires a lot of critical thinking skills. This translates well to capping!

I have had years, when I was single when I capped bases for a living. Now I do it for simply extra sheckles.

My areas of expertise are Bases (second half, and post-season), infinity system plays in College hoops, and WNBA, and my patented MNF Fade the Public plays of the week, where the public loses, the books win, and I win too!!!!!

Played college baseball for a big east team which will go unnamed unless you read on and connect the dots. Obviously my strong point is CWS since I still have some contacts left.

Other than that I have some contacts at V Tech and can cap them fairly well. Along with Big East and ACC.

Bases has been handcuffing me for the last 3 years until about the last 2 months which I've been doing excellent.

Oh yeah, I've made over 5 dimes on NASCAR this year ;)

I'm a true redneck.

Come on guys/gals.

Lets share the info here. I can't bieleve we have over 90 views and only six members responding. Lets all work together. We can all help each other, but you have to become involved to do it. If the old saying of "two people working together can accomplish more than three working for you", can you imagine what we all can do together? Come on Ski, Cashmoney, Chriss, Breadman, Hova, HeavyD, etc. Lets make this season a real kick a$$ one and pick our books pockets together. This is my last motivational speech.
Message to JD: Don't worry about the soap on a rope with me. I only like to bust others balls not drain them.

OK, I have been a member of statfox for about 9 months. I have just been watching and learning how you guys handicap. I have only been wagering on sports for about 2 years. I have been barely profitable over that time. But, the last 9 months have been a great learning experience.

However, lately(3 mos), I have been following some small systems that I have developed from the sheets. They have been profitable for the short term and the entire year as well.

I love sports. I have season tickets to the Gamecocks basketball games, so I get to see some of the best SEC teams come through town. But, being single allows me to watch a lot of games.

I haven't felt comfortable posting my plays so that others would not get upset. It seems as though this forum has some egos at times. However, I may start to post some of the system plays, but I am not telling how the system works right now. It is very simple though and only uses just a few things conditions.

Good to see your post. I assume you are from So. Carolina if you are a Gamecock ticket holder. My moms family wa from Wilmington,NC. You will no doubt be in a position to have info on the Gamecocks that a lot of us here will not here. As far as egos here, many a good capper I have know over the years usually has a big ego. That is part of some cappers game, so don't let that bothrer you. IE: the Golfprop is a much better capper when he displays his swagger. IMHO. Thanks for posting and hope to see more.

Hello my name is...

I am 26 and reside in Marshall, TX. I have a wife and a 15 month old daughter. I have been capping sports for about 4 or 5 yrs. I think my best sports to cap is MLB. I do well in NFL and NCAAB, but baseball is my strongest. I think my weakest, although it has been profitbable to me, is NBA. I love to play the totals in NBA. When I do cap, I keep every record I come across. I have files and files of endless data on every game I've ever capped. I am a research junkie when it comes to sports. I have to know just about every angle I can before I lay a dollar on it. I think this is where my grey hair comes from, betting on sports.

I have not been capping games in a few months as I have gotten back to my first love, Poker. When I'm not at the tables, i am on the net playing cards or thinking about capping games. Im just not near a comp every hotel I stay at.

I am looking forward to the NFL season coming up. Just picked up the Statfox EDGE magazine and it looks great. So you shall see alot more of me this football season.

Can you hear me now? Good!

Sports Wagering and contradicting public opinion could be described as what I do best. Im a 30 year who resides in LAS VEGAS, NV for the simple reasons of choice. 5 minutes away from 11 sportsbooks on the strip - I consider having options in the sports-capping as a must have! Although lines do not differ much from book to book, Certain greedy establishent's : Station Casinos and Leroy's are extremely tight, and always attempt to sway the avg. gambler towards public perception. I use to own and operate a website called HardNoseSports.com and also did some writing and programming for vegasinsider.com. Sold my business/ clients to concentrate more on the W's and not the sales/marketing and daily operations of a small business. With an ATS record near 67% ATS in any sport, I do veryl on my own and am much more selective and pensive in matchup breakdowns. Being a heavier player, I realize that - "Stats don't lie", but they do have a tendency to stretch the truth from time to time.
IE If it looks like a rat, smells like a rat and walks like a rat. ITS A FRICKEN RAT! RE: Sides n Totals way off.

Reading in between game lines, shifts and having the balls and gumption to throw your hard-earned cash on a +110 Dog like the Tigers last night vs Bos is what I do best!

Because vegas makes money on Vig - period.
They could usually care less who wins the game, Unless of coarse action is one sided. Their very job description is to decieve public opinion. Member of statfox for a very short time - One of 3 websites I use daily to capp and share info. Started out warm but am heating up heading to the Pigskin.
+ 31 k Since Aug 1st 03..

Ragtop...

Just a sec, I'm doing this needle thing, injecting truth serum...

Ouch! Oheeeee!!! ya mon..., zzzz...

PLINK!

Ahh...., the sound of eylids opening, one of my favorite sounds after an injection....

I'm from Canada. I live in the same town as the world's best parlay bettor that I have witnessed. I don't know my age, but I appear to have been around for quite some time. Forty years or so.

I'm single, but do like to chase women. I prefer being chased though, just has more fun to it. Kind of a rock star allure to it all, as they rip off my clothes and I just keep singing away.

Big music fan, love the Doors and Rush. No other bands matter, except maybe Neil Young and Alice Cooper which are not bands at all. Go figure...

Been gambling since the age of 6. That's a long time.

First gamble with real money was Crown and Anchors. A church bingo game. I would lay my nickel down, and dream of riches, enough riches to buy a hot dog and a coke.

I was decent at that game, mostly cuz I was not a capper at the time. One thing I learned quickly with it though, even as a kid, is run with the winnings! As soon as I would win, I left the place and would dine on the finest junk food around.

By the age of fifteen, I sought larger gambling territory. There was no roulette around in my small little home town, only Church Bingo. One of my biggest wins ever. Again, no capping. Hard game to cap, even though I saw all the ladies and gents trying to pick the best cards from a pile.

I won four turkeys that fateful day! A church record. You know, the kind you eat. I thought Green Peace was gonna arrest me, but it never happened. I was a bit of a paranoid kid.

I have been gambling ever since, on everything and anything. I just love to gamble, especially when one can get an edge of sorts.

I don't stop at sports, mostly because I never began there. Sports gambling is all still quite new to me, even though I have been at almost three years now. I just keep a studying...

I have the ultimate betting system that will make you all millions.

I am going to tell it to you all right now!

Hey, this is cheap truth serum. It's wearing off....

Let me try this other stuff here, it should work, and then I will tell you all how to make millions!

WD-40. Sound like something I can inject....

ZONK!!!

My name is John Paul Getty...

THE STAR WILL GIVE IT AWAY. IM 42 YEARS OLD LIVE IN THE DALLAS METRO PLEX. CAPPING FOOTBALL IS MY FIRST LOVE . IM IN THE FINANCE BUISNESS SO THE NUMBERS ANGEL IS WHERE I START MY APPROACH TO CAPPING FOOTBALL. I HAVE BEEN SPORTS WAGERING FOR ABOUT 8 YEARS. I BELIVE THERE IS SO MUCH INFO AT ARE FINGER TIPS WITH THE NET THAT AT SOMETIMES IT CAN MAKE YOU OVER THINK A PLAY . I TRY TO STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THE MEDIA AS FAR AS THEM GIVING ADVICE ON THE OUTCOME OF A GAME. THERE JOB IS TO BOOST RATINGS . THAT WAS NEVER MORE EVIDENT IN THIS YEARS NBA FINALS. WITH LAKER THIS LAKER THAT . I LOVE TO PLAY THE DOGS IN THE NFL . I HAVE KEPT GREAT RECORDS OVER THE YEARS SOME OF THE DATA THOUGH IS NA IN THE NFL DO TO THE PARITY IN THE LAST 5 YEARS OR SO . BUT THE DOGS BARK THE BEST WEEK FOUR TO 12 . THE TEASE HAS BEEN A BIGGER PART OF MY WAGERING IN THE LAST FEW YEARS DO TO THE PARITY. NBA IS MY SECOND LOVE MOSTLY ONLY ON THE MONEYLINE AND TOTALS. I ALSO BELIVE FIND YOUR TOP 3 TO 4 PLAYS FOR THE NFL WEEK AND PLAY THEM. I HAVE USED A HANDCAPPING CHECK LIST I PUT TOGETHER 4 YEARS AGO TO KEEP ME FOCUSED ASWELL AS NOT TO MISS A ANGEL IE KEY PLAYERS PLAYING AGAINST FORMER TEAMS . THE COACHING CHANGES IS A GREAT ONE TO KEEP YOUR I ON CORDINATORS COACHING AGAIST FORMER TEAMS IS A GREAT ADVANTAGE TO THERE NEW TEAM IN GAME PLANNING. SEASON TOTALS IS ALSO A WAY OF MAKING WHAT I CALL FREE MONEY. I WILL HELP OUT A MUCH AS MY BUSY WORK SCHEDULE WILL LET ME. I WILL NOT POST JUST TO POST SOMETHING I DO NOT FEEL STRONGLEY ABOUT.

OK here goes:

I'm from the Mile High City (GO BRONCOS!!!) and just graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder three years ago (No, I did not attend those recruitment parties!). I'm 27 going on 28 in October. My full-time job is a Tire Tech for this large company not traded on the stock exchange (private co.). I'm doing the sports investing as a means to live off of my income and build a business of my own. Money management is key. Consistency is key. Discipline is key. Without all of those things, you might as well as give your money to the attendant in the cage because you will lose a LOT! I used to think I have a strong capping skills in a certain sport and that sport was NFL. Of course, last year, I went 38% ATS and quit by mid-season. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE FOOTBALL and it should be America's pasttime. I cannot cap worth a damn and I was lucky to win the CBB tourney last year. How did I win, you ask? Money management, discipline, and consistency are the reasons why I'm doing well right now at this point...

I love systems, especially when they are proven for at least three to five years. I love databases and stats and I believe they are critical in capping these games. To date, my strongest suit is MLB as I am doing the series chase by picking one team every three or four days as the best team to bet on. This weekend was the Cards at home and they won the first game. Still doing some more research on series betting to find better angles. Also, I am doing the SureCash system which is doing pretty well lately. Had to quit in the middle of June because there were too many games ending in 1-runs, mostly interleauge... With more experience, I will be able to learn from my mistakes and improve the next season. In NBA, I play top faves on the ML when they are -9.5 or higher. Yes the ML is high, but the win rate is also high (I will post these plays along with a fictional bankroll to show how it works and how everyone can benefit from making money).

I'm still doing some more research in the upcoming NFL season, but mostly I will be focused on Fantasy Football (the guys who invented that are GODS to me!! LOL!)... After a terrible NFL season last year, I just watch the games for pure enjoyment and that's ok with me. I never bet on the Broncos, unless I am absolutely sure they are going to win (IE: Denver vs. Indy where Denver was a 7 point dog and won outright; played the ML and returned my bet at 3:1!! That was my only play on Denver that day).

College games? Well, let's just say they are sometimes overrated, like which school is the better school and which conference is the better conference. I have no idea, but I do know this: These AP polls that they have out there today? They are HIGHLY OVERRATED!!! I know some of you will agree with me as I recall the BCS fiasco that pitted OSU against LSU??? It should have been LSU against USC!! Now that's a game I would watch! The conference that I mostly watch is the Big 12, you know, CU, Nebraska, Kansas, KSU, etc... I keep tabs at my alma mater and as some of you know, I have pretty good info on the Buffs football team. Last year, some of you were going to bet on the Buffs at home as a dog against the powerhouse Nebraska. I helped most of you out by telling you not to bet on CU because they had lost to Baylor earlier in the season and were not motivated in that game. Of course, Nebraska won that game easily...

Well, I'll stop for now, but if you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask as I am more than happy to help you out with most things. Oh yeah, I LOVE EXCEL!! LOL!

Later and good luck!

i am 29 and live in high ridge missouri about 20 miles southwest of st. louis. i am very new to the fox sheets and have only been a member for about 2 weeks. mostly i have been just trying to figure out how you guys use the fox sheets and trying to develope a system for myself. i have been betting on sports for years on and off most of the time just lucky to break even. i really enjoy sports betting and wanted to get into it "hardcore" this year and not just to have money on the tv game like in years past. in the two weeks that i have been a member i have already learned a ton from you guys and have actually started to get the feeling that i can win each day. i will post my plays that i cap each day for everyone but keep in mind that i am fairly new to the fox sheets. if anyone has any advice for me i am open to all suggestions. just wanted to find a new hobby and i think i have found one for a long time. as for my sport where i have the most success in i really don't have one yet so hopefully for the next couple of months it will be baseball and then football!!! either way though there is nothing like breaking the man each day.

good luck to all and i will put my picks up each day.

You asked for advice. I would suggest that you read Ski's post directly above yours, more than once. Here are a few sentences to key in on.

"Money management is key. Consistency is key. Discipline is key. Without all of those things, you might as well as give your money to the attendant in the cage because you will lose a LOT!"

"I love systems, especially when they are proven for at least three to five years."

"To date, my strongest suit is MLB as I am doing the series chase by picking one team every three or four days as the best team to bet on."

Best of luck. tdbabe

Skeeters here to learn, and learn as much as possible.
Live out here smack dab in the middle of nowhere... Kansas! Whoda' thunk that?

Until last fall, wagered along with my friends against the local book and listened to him laugh about how much money he was making. Got on a nice streak in college football, the Big XXII cashed the best for me, and the NBA once the season was a month old.

I am not here to coatail anyones plays... That type of thinking has without a doubt cost me money. The biggest thing I HAVE learned is those that are proven to be good cappers, post to help us all. So when I can help, I will. In the meantime, still learning....

PS I have no future in the autobioghraphy field.

Ok, Im from Virginia and i live in NC and VA depending on how i feel... i have been watching and playing all sports since the age 5. Started making money when i was under the age of 8 with my parents football pool's at work which sparked my love for money through sports. I am a master of systems in baseball, football, and hockey, cant quite figure out NBA yet! As most of you know i am only 17 years old which is why Colin dubbed me the name of "The Kid". I have a great girl right now in my life and hope to keep it that way. Ive been to many forums in my day and this is by far the best and i love to contribute what i can to it which aint much b/c we have great knowledged cappers in here. I do work on the side at IKEA hah, the highest payin job here for my age.... better than mcdonalds or burger king eh. I have only attended Hockey games to my dismay, i would love to see a few baseball games and football pretty soon. I played football, baseball, and ran track in my HS which i just graduated from. Thats pretty much it right now, i just love the money!!
