Happy Friday! Historically, today has been the best day of the week to fade the Public. With recreational bettors wrapping up their work week (and getting their latest paychecks), Average Joes are more apt to get down on games, specifically targeting favorites, home teams and overs. This leads to increased ticket counts and elevated contrarian value.

The public sees Paul Blackburn (6.46 ERA) facing a rusty Carlos Carrasco (4.24 ERA) in his return from the DL and naturally, they’re going over. However, despite nearly 60% taking the over, the total has either fallen to 8.5 or remained frozen at 9 with heavy under juice liability. Wiseguys got down on the over early on, but since that time it’s been a steady diet of under smart money. Sharps at Pinnacle hit under 9.5, and then wiseguys at BetOnline crushed the under 9 three separate times. A huge factor in this game is the wind: it’s howling in from straightaway center at 14-15 MPH. The last time Blackburn faced the Tribe he pitched 6.1 scoreless innings en route to a 3-1 Oakland victory.

The Astros have lost the 1st 5 innings line just 2 times this season in 35 games vs. LH starting pitchers. They have led after 5 in 20 games and have been tied an extraordinarily high 13 times! Netting a profit of 16.85 units for an ROI of +48.1%

White Sox F5 -120 hosting KC. Lopez has a 2.72 home ERA. Royals are atrocious vs RHP, ranking 29th in OPS and are 26th in runs per game on the road. In 198 combined ABs, CWS hitters have a .343 AVG vs Duffy. He's allowed 9 ERs in 10 IP vs them this season.

Giants F5 EVEN in OAK. Bumgarner has a 2.70 ERA in innings 1-5. He gave up 1 ER in 6 IP vs OAK last week and the A's rank 27th in runs per game at home. OAK has a 14-22-10 F5 record at home this season.

Tigers +2.5 runline available at -105. Interesting to note that Boston has only won by 3 runs or more in 6 of Chris Sale’s 20 starts.
