Preview: Penguins (0-0) at Bruins (0-0)
Date: June 05, 2013 8:00 PM EDT

BOSTON (AP) - Sidney Crosby and the potent Penguins have been punchless.

Pittsburgh led the NHL in scoring in the regular season. It averaged 4.27 goals per game in the first two rounds of the playoffs. And it poured in 13 goals in the last two games of the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Since then?

No addition necessary.

The Penguins have just one goal in two losses on their home ice to the Boston Bruins. To play there again this season, they must win Wednesday or Friday and avoid what seemed so improbable just a few days ago - being swept in the best-of-seven conference finals.

``Right now, we're not liking the picture, down 0-2. They're in control,' Penguins coach Dan Bylsma said. ``I don't think we're frustrated by the fact that we haven't scored as much as (the fact that) they're getting up leads, especially in Game 2.'

The Bruins won the opener 3-0 but led just 1-0 after two periods. The second game was much different. They rolled to a 4-1 lead after one period and remained aggressive in finishing off their 6-1 rout. The Penguins' effort waned as the game went on.

``I didn't do anything, didn't change anything. It felt like every time we had a puck that was bouncing, we ended up giving it away,' Crosby said. ``We gave them the game. We didn't really do anything to give ourselves a chance to win.'

Combine that with the Bruins' high level of play - disciplined on defense, organized on offense - and the pre-series chatter about the Penguins being favorites seems like so much nonsense.

But any talk that Boston will have an easy path to the Stanley Cup finals is just as premature.

``We're going to have to play even better than we did because they're going to be desperate,' Boston's David Krejci said.

With a day off to ponder their problems and work at eliminating them, the Penguins' offense could resurface.

``It's about what we do in the next game,' Boston defenseman Andrew Ference said, ``not about patting ourselves on the back for what's already happened.'

Winning the first two games is a good start but doesn't always lead to a good finish. Both teams have overcome 2-0 deficits and gone on to win Stanley Cups.

In 2009, the Penguins dropped two games at Detroit by a combined score of 6-2 then took four out of five to clinch their first championship since 1992.

In 2011, the Bruins lost two games of the opening round at home against Montreal, then won the next two on the road and captured the series on an overtime goal in Game 7. In the finals, they got off to the same poor start, losing two in Vancouver, but then won their first title since 1972 with a 4-0 road win in Game 7.

But in the previous season, the Bruins won the first three games of the Eastern semifinals over Philadelphia then lost the next four.

``We have a large group of guys that have gone through this and been in that situation on both sides of the coin,' Ference said. ``You can really lean on your past experience and not just talk about what could happen, because we've done it all. I think with this team, whether it's coming back or having teams come back on us, we've all seen it together and we all know certain lessons that we've learned.'

They've also seen how powerful Pittsburgh's offense can be. James Neal, Chris Kunitz, Pascal Dupuis and Crosby were among the NHL's top 17 in goals per game this season. Crosby was the leader in assists per game. And Crosby and Kris Letang were the top two in points per game.

``You don't have a choice but to respect that team that you're playing against, because they are a pretty potent team. Things can change pretty quickly in this game,' Boston coach Claude Julien said. ``I don't think there's any comfort level in our team right now.'

The Bruins have stymied the Penguins' offense with pressure the length of the ice. A puck carrier gets past one forward then must contend with another, then a defenseman and, finally, Boston goaltender Tuukka Rask.

``I think it's pretty obvious that we have layers,' Julien said. ``Our guys are committed to come back and just making sure that there's layer after layer that make it hard for them to get to our net.'

It's been relatively easy for the Bruins to get to the Penguins' goal, whether Tomas Vokoun or Marc-Andre Fleury is trying to protect it. Fleury replaced Vokoun after Krejci, the NHL postseason leading scorer, gave Boston a 3-0 lead at 16:31 of the first Monday night.

``We gave up the first goal both games and, from there, everyone is trying to do it on their own,' Vokoun said, ``it's just not going to work.'

Bylsma hasn't said who will start Wednesday.

``I think there's going to be some changes to our lineup,' he said, ``and some of our combinations, our lines.'

No need for the Bruins to change anything.

All four lines have been productive. The defensive pairings have been strong. And Rask has been outstanding, stopping 55 of 56 shots in the series.

Overall, the Bruins have won seven of their last eight games with a 30-15 scoring advantage.

``Our team's playing probably its best hockey this year right now,' Julien said, ``but so is Tuukka. I think he's been unbelievable so far in this series.'

The Penguins also have been unbelievable - the other way. Who would have expected an offense with Crosby, Letang and Evgeni Malkin to be so awful?

``We know that we're looked upon to score and produce,' Crosby said. ``We have to find ways to create chances and put the puck in the net. I'm not going to sit here and say it's Rask or anything they're doing. We have to get better.

``That's the way it is.'

Bruins' road wins in Games 1-2 ended six-game losing streak vs Pittsburgh; they've won seven of last eight games since coming back from dead in Game 7 vs Toronto. Penguins are 0-6 on power play in series; would expect big easrly effort from team that is 3-2 away from home in playoffs, with two of three wins in OT. Over is 8-5 in Pitt's playoff games, 7-5-2 in Boston's. Penguins scored 4+ goals in all their playoff wins, 3-4-1-0-1 in losses. Boston is 5-2 at home in playoffs, winning last four. Penguins at Bruins: What bettors need to know
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pittsburgh Penguins at Boston Bruins (-111, 5.5)

Bruins lead best-of-seven series 2-0.

After scoring 13 goals in their last two games of the second round, the high-octane Pittsburgh Penguins have mustered a total of one in the first two contests of the Eastern Conference final. The top-seeded Penguins will need to flip the switch Wednesday at TD Garden or risk being pushed to the brink of elimination by the fourth-seeded Boston Bruins. Boston painted quite the picture in the Steel City, outscoring its foe by a 9-1 margin to claim a 2-0 advantage in the series.

"Right now, we're not liking the picture, down 0-2. They're in control," Pittsburgh coach Dan Bylsma said. "I don't think we're frustrated by the fact that we haven't scored as much as they're getting leads, especially in Game 2." Brad Marchand needed all of 28 seconds to give Boston the advantage in Monday's 6-1 triumph. Marchand tallied again to a cap the Bruins' four-goal first period and never looked back.

TV: 8 p.m. ET, NBC Sports, CBC, RDS

ABOUT THE PENGUINS: Pittsburgh's offense wasn't the only thing missing in Game 2 - as its goaltending followed suit. Tomas Vokoun, who had won six of his previous eight games since replacing Stanley Cup-winning goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, yielded three quick goals to earn a seat on the bench. Given an opportunity for the first time since May 7, Fleury fell flat on his face as well - allowing a goal on the first shot he saw. Bylsma didn't divulge the identity of which man will be behind the mask in goal for Game 3.

ABOUT THE BRUINS: David Krejci would be well within his rights to pat himself on the back. After all, he is the league's postseason points leader and has three goals in two games in this series. Krejci, however, knows it's too early to start celebrating. "We know we played some good hockey in the regular season, but it wasn't even close to the way we're playing right now," Krejci said. "But we've still got a long way ahead of us, so we've got to keep it going."

TRENDS:

*Bruins are 7-1 in their last 8 overall.
*Over is 4-1 in Penguins last 5 road games.
*Under is 5-2 in Bruins last 7 vs. a team with a winning % above .600.
*Penguins are 6-0 in the last 6 meetings in Boston.

OVERTIME:

1. Captain Sidney Crosby and reigning Hart Trophy winner Evgeni Malkin have yet to record a point and are both a minus-3 in this series for the Penguins.

2. Boston G Tuukka Rask has stopped 55 of 56 shots versus Pittsburgh.

3. The Penguins have overcome 0-2 deficits to win a series on five occasions since 1991.

The Chicago Blackhawks will be without one of their top players for Game 4 of the Western Conference finals on Thursday.

The NHL announced Wednesday that defenseman Duncan Keith has been suspended one game for his slash on Los Angeles Kings forward Jeff Carter during the Blackhawks' Game 3 loss Tuesday.

When announcing the suspension (as seen in the video above) Brendan Shanahan said it was more serious than a player having to simply be responsible for his stick and that it was not accidental or a defensive high stick to an opponent -- it was retaliation.

Shortly before the high-sticking incident, Carter took a swing with his stick at Keith's hand after his glove had fallen off. Keith said he didn't intend to hit Carter in the face, but did admit to swinging his stick at him.

Carter needed more than 20 stitches and had damage done to several teeth as a result of the hit.

Blackhawks at Kings: What bettors need to know
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chicago Blackhawks at Los Angeles Kings (-119, 4.5)

Blackhawks lead best-of-seven series 2-1.

While the reigning Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings are perfect at home in the playoffs, the Chicago Blackhawks have experienced more than their fair share of troubles on the road. The top-seeded Blackhawks will need to overcome an additional roadblock in Thursday's Game 4 of the Western Conference final with the loss of stud defenseman Duncan Keith. The 2010 Norris Trophy winner was suspended one game by the NHL on Wednesday, one day after he was whistled for high-sticking Los Angeles forward Jeff Carter during the second period of the Kings' 3-1 triumph in Game 3.

Carter suffered a laceration that required 20 stitches to close and a chipped tooth after Keith's blow to the head, which resulted in a double-minor penalty. Fifth-seeded Los Angeles won its eighth straight postseason game at Staples Center and 15th in a row dating back to the regular season to trim its deficit to 2-1 in the series. Presidents' Trophy-winning Chicago has dropped four of six contests away from the United Center.

TV: 9 p.m. ET, NBCSN, CBC, RDS

ABOUT THE BLACKHAWKS: With Keith sitting out on Thursday, fellow defenseman Sheldon Brookbank likely will be inserted into the lineup for the first time since Chicago's regular-season finale against St. Louis on April 27. "I guess it's kind of like you're on call," Brookbank told the Chicago Sun-Times prior to Keith's suspension being announced. "You've got to stay ready and wait to hear the word if you're needed or not." Keith has one goal and nine assists while logging nearly 25 minutes of ice time per contest in the postseason. Brookbank netted one goal in 26 games this season.

ABOUT THE KINGS: After missing Games 2 and 3, Mike Richards showed signs of improvement from his upper-body injury by skating with the scratched players from the last contest. "Obviously, it's great to see him out there," Carter said. "I don't know anything more than that, other than he skated today. If we can get him back at some point in this series, whenever it is, it's a huge lift for our team." Rookie Tyler Toffoli, who has played in Richards' absence, scored a goal in Game 2 and set up another in Game 3.

TRENDS:

*Blackhawks are 2-5 in their last 7 road games.
*Kings are 40-11 in their last 51 home games.
*Under is 10-1-1 in Blackhawks last 12 road games.
*Home team is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings.

OVERTIME:

1. Keith was considered a "repeat offender" after he was suspended five games for an illegal hit on Vancouver's Daniel Sedin in 2012.

2. Los Angeles RW Justin Williams, who has scored four goals in as many games, shares the team lead of six with Carter.

3. Chicago RW Patrick Kane is mired in a seven-game goalless drought.

Bruins at Blackhawks: What bettors need to know
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Boston Bruins at Chicago Blackhawks (-149, 5)

The Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins are bidding to secure their second title in the young decade when the two Original Six rivals open their Stanley Cup final series at the United Center Wednesday. Chicago, which won its last championship in 2010 with a six-game triumph over the Philadelphia Flyers, began this season on a sensational 24-game point streak (21-0-3) en route to recording the second Presidents' Trophy in franchise history. The top-seeded Blackhawks breezed past the eighth-seeded Minnesota Wild in the first round, overcame a 3-1 series deficit to outlast the rival Detroit Red Wings in the second before dethroning the defending champion Los Angeles Kings in five games.

Boston also survived a scare by erasing a three-goal deficit in the third period of Game 7 before rallying past the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round. The fourth-seeded Bruins battered another Original Six foe in the New York Rangers before holding the high-octane Pittsburgh Penguins to just two goals during a sweep of the Eastern Conference final. Boston is vying for its second title in three years, having defeated the Vancouver Canucks in seven games in 2011.

TV: 8 p.m. ET, NBC, CBC, RDS

ABOUT THE BRUINS: While David Krejci boasts an NHL-leading nine goals and 21 points, the offensive contributions from the team's defensemen can not be overlooked. Blue-liner Johnny Boychuk leads the pack with five goals, rookie Torey Krug has added four and captain Zdeno Chara notched 11 points. "It's great," forward Brad Marchand said of Boston's defensemen, who have accounted for 15 of the team's 50 goals. "It really takes a lot of pressure off the forwards. ... It adds another element to our game and it opens up things for us down low because guys have to respect our defensemen." Tuukka Rask (12-4, 1.75 goals-against average, .943 save percentage) recorded his first two postseason shutouts in the Eastern Conference final - but has only one relief appearance in his young career versus the Blackhawks. The Finn stopped 11 of 12 shots he faced.

ABOUT THE BLACKHAWKS: Patrick Kane broke out of his slump in a big way, scoring in Game 4 against the Kings before his double-overtime winner completed a hat trick in Game 5 to win the Western Conference final. After setting up Kane's winning tally, captain Jonathan Toews would like to put his scoring troubles to rest as well. Toews has just one goal and nine points in these playoffs - a far cry from the seven and 29 he recorded during his 2010 Conn Smythe Trophy-winning performance. Bryan Bickell and Patrick Sharp have collected eight goals apiece to pace the Blackhawks in 2013. Corey Crawford (12-4, 1.74 GAA, .935 save percentage) has silently put together solid numbers in net.

TRENDS:

* Bruins are 5-0 in their last 5 overall.
* Blackhawks are 7-1 in their last 8 vs. Eastern Conference.
* Over is 7-3 in Blackhawks last 10 vs. Eastern Conference.
* Bruins are 6-2 in the last 8 meetings.

OVERTIME:

1. Original Six rivals will vie for the Stanley Cup for the first time since 1979, when the Montreal Canadiens won their fourth consecutive championship with a 4-1 series victory over the Rangers.

2. The teams last met on Oct. 15, 2011 - with the Bruins skating away with a 3-2 shootout victory at the United Center. Tyler Seguin scored the lone goal in the bonus format.

3. Chicago is 9-1 at home during the postseason while Boston is 5-2 on the road.

Bruins at Blackhawks: What bettors need to know
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Boston Bruins at Chicago Blackhawks (-144, 5)

Blackhawks lead best-of-seven series 1-0.

After putting forth a thrilling triple-overtime classic in the opener of the Stanley Cup final, the Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks will look to provide an encore in Game 2 on Saturday when the Original Six rivals reconvene at the United Center. Andrew Shaw scored 12:08 into the third extra session as Presidents' Trophy-winning Chicago overcame a pair of two-goal deficits to post a 4-3 triumph in the fifth-longest game in Stanley Cup final history. Shaw ended the wild affair after tallying on a double deflection - although the game was tied at 3-3 in the third period as the puck caromed off the skate of Boston defenseman Andrew Ference and into the net.

"It's those two tough bounces that went in and there's nothing you can do," said Boston's Patrice Bergeron, who was honored as the King Clancy Memorial Trophy winner on Friday. The award is presented to the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice. The Bruins will need that leadership to rebound in Game 2 - unless they'll head back to Beantown in an 0-2 deficit in a Stanley Cup for the second time in three years.

TV: 8 p.m. ET, NBC, CBC, RDS

ABOUT THE BRUINS: Top-line wing Nathan Horton participated in practice on Friday and is a game-time decision for Saturday's tilt. "He's day-to-day and that's where he is," Boston coach Claude Julien said of Horton, who sustained an unspecified upper-body injury after an exchange with Chicago defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson during the first overtime in Game 1. "That's why he practiced (Friday) and we'll have to make a decision on Nate (Saturday). But it was encouraging to see him out there today, and if he feels good, he's in the lineup." Should Horton missed the contest, Tyler Seguin would likely move to the top line - as he did during the latter stages of Game 1.

ABOUT THE BLACKHAWKS: Jonathan Toews was named as the Frank J. Selke Award winner, which goes to the league's best defensive forward. The Chicago captain claimed the award over finalists Bergeron and Detroit superstar Pavel Datsyuk. "To be able to go head to head with guys like that in the playoffs, and to know them from the past, you understand how much they mean to their teams and how much they contribute offensively and defensively," Toews said. Toews registered a stunning plus-28 rating in the regular season, but has mustered just one goal and set up eight others in the playoffs.

TRENDS:

* Over is 5-0 in Blackhawks’ last five Stanley Cup Finals games.
* Blackhawks are 12-3 in their last 15 Saturday games.
* Bruins are 5-1 in their last six overall.

OVERTIME

1. Boston's top line of David Krejci (NHL-leading nine goals, 14 assists), Horton (seven goals, 11 assists) and Milan Lucic (five goals, 11 assists) has combined for 21 goals and 36 assists in the postseason. Lucic tallied twice in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final.

2. Blackhawks G Corey Crawford and Bruins G Tuukka Rask set career highs with 51 and 59 saves, respectively, in Game 1.

3. Boston yielded more goals on Wednesday versus Chicago (four) than it did in the entire Eastern Conference final against Pittsburgh (two).

Bruins at Blackhawks: What bettors need to know
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Boston Bruins at Chicago Blackhawks (-147, 5)

Best-of-seven series tied 2-2.

Corey Crawford did his best to pick up for his ailing glove with a funny quip. On Saturday, the Chicago Blackhawks will look for the goaltender's performance to do the talking on Saturday when they host the Boston Bruins in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup final. Crawford has yielded 12 goals in the series - with eight coming from the glove side.

"Last series they were talking about my blocker," Crawford joked on Friday. "Both sides are bad, I guess." The netminder could afford to make light of the situation after defenseman Brent Seabrook scored 9:51 into overtime as the Presidents' Trophy-winning Blackhawks evened the series at two games apiece with 6-5 triumph on Wednesday. Venturing past regulation has been the norm in this series, as three of the four contests have been decided after 60 minutes - with Game 1 spanning into triple overtime.

TV: 8 p.m. ET, NBC, CBC, RDS

ABOUT THE BRUINS: Boston takes considerable pride in its fourth line - or "Merlot" line, if you will. So, when Gregory Campbell suffered a broken leg while blocking a shot in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference final, coach Claude Julien has been left to mix and match players to fill the void. Rookie Carl Soderberg donned the merlot-colored sweater during Friday's practice, while Kaspars Daugavins wore the green jersey which signifies regularly scratched players. "Just trying something else here," Julien said of Soderberg, who hasn't played in the postseason. "I'll make that decision (Saturday). But just (getting) a different look at what that would look like, that's all."

ABOUT THE BLACKHAWKS: Marian Hossa returned after being a late scratch prior to Game 3 by collecting one assist and mustering four shots on goal in just over 19 minutes of ice time on Wednesday. The veteran admitted that he was limited in that contest due to the upper-body injury and even missed practice on Friday. Despite his absence, coach Joel Quenneville admitted that "Hossa is fine" and didn't seem overly concerned. "(We're) very happy to use him. I think everybody has different limitations, but everybody is giving it their all."

TRENDS:

* Bruins are 3-7 in their last 10 Saturday games.
* Under is 5-0 in Bruins’ last five after allowing five goals or more in their previous game.
* Under is 6-1 in Blackhawks’ last seven when their opponent scores five goals or more in their previous game.

OVERTIME

1. Boston's Patrice Bergeron has scored three of his team's four power-play goals versus Chicago. His nine tallies have him tied with fellow C David Krejci for the team lead.

2. Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews and RW Patrick Kane were reunited on the same line and scored just over two minutes apart in Game 4.

3. Bruins C Brad Marchand has failed to secure a point in the Stanley Cup final.

Game 5 - Bruins at 'Hawks

June 21, 2013

Stanley Cup Finals Game 5 Preview

BOSTON BRUINS at CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS
Sportsbook.ag Line & Total: Chicago -150 & 5 under -145

After tying up the NHL Stanley Cup Finals in a wild Game 4, the Blackhawks return home Saturday to host the Bruins in an crucial Game 5.

This series has already been incredibly close, with three of the four games going to overtime and the teams separated by just one goal. The Blackhawks were able to tie up the series on Wednesday with a 6-5 overtime win, scoring more in one night (six goals) than they had in the first three games combined (five goals). D Brent Seabrook was the hero with the overtime goal at 9:51 of the extra period. Chicago outshot the Bruins by a hefty 47-33 margin in Game 4 and won 49% of the faceoffs, a huge improvement from its 29% faceoffs won in Game 3. The Blackhawks also scored their first power-play goal of the series (1-of-15) on Wednesday, but Boston capitalized on two of its five chances with the man advantage.

Now the series goes back to United Center where Chicago is 10-2 during the postseason. However, the Bruins are 6-3 on the road during these playoffs, including a 2-1 overtime win in Game 2. But there are plenty of trends favoring the Blackhawks to win again, as they are 19-2 coming off a road win this season, including a perfect 9-0 mark when that road win was by a one-goal margin. On the flip side, Boston is just 1-6 off a home loss by a one-goal margin this season. The pick here is CHICAGO to win on its home ice.

Even with allowing six goals on 47 shots (.872 Sv Pct.) on Wednesday, Bruins netminder Tuukka Rask (14-6, 1.83 GAA, .941 Sv Pct. in playoffs) has had a great series so far, saving 161-of-172 shots (.936 Sv Pct., 2.09 GAA). And in his past four road games, Rask has turned aside 147-of-153 shots (.961 Sv Pct.).

There were many offensive heroes for Boston in Game 4, especially C Patrice Bergeron, who netted two goals to give him a series-best four tallies on a team-high 19 shots on goal. Three of those goals have been on the power play, where his team is an excellent 4-for-14 (29%) in the series. LW Milan Lucic also has four points in the series (3 G, 1 A), but three occurred in Game 1, as his goal on Wednesday snapped a two-game point-less skid. But he also delivered a game-high eight hits in the Game 4 defeat. LW Daniel Paille (2 G, 1 A) is the only other multiple-goal scorer for the Bruins in the Stanley Cup Finals, but he was held without a point and without a shot in Game 4.

Four different players each have three assists and zero goals in the series -- C David Krejci, C Tyler Seguin, D Zdeno Chara and RW Jaromir Jagr. Krejci still leads all NHL players with 24 points (9 G, 15 A) during the postseason, and Chara and Jagr had two helpers each in Game 4. But Jagr, who has 78 career playoff goals, has yet to score a single goal in any of the 20 games during these playoffs. Boston has four players that have logged at least 27 minutes per game during the NHL Finals, including two that are over 30 minutes -- D Dennis Seidenberg (33:46 avg. ice time) and Chara (32:31). Seidenberg has blocked eight shots in his past two games, and also delivered seven hits in Wednesday's loss.

Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford (14-7, 1.86 GAA, .931 Sv Pct. in playoffs) saved just 28-of-33 shots (.848 Sv Pct.) in the Game 4 win, but his numbers are still decent for his first Stanley Cup Finals series where he's posted a .920 Sv Pct. and 2.29 GAA. Crawford has been outstanding at home during this postseason though, going 10-2 with a .938 Sv Pct. and 1.58 GAA.

Thirteen different Chicago players scored at least one point during Game 4, but only three had multiple points -- RW Patrick Kane (1 G, 1 A), LW Brian Bickell (2 A) and D Michal Rozsival (2 A). C Patrick Sharp is the only Blackhawks skater with more than one goal in the series, tallying two goals on his series-most 25 shots on goal. Sharp leads all scorers in the postseason with 10 goals, and it was his power-play tally in the third period on Wednesday that snapped the Bruins streak of killing off 30 straight penalties.

In terms of the Stanley Cup Finals, only three Chicago players have at least three points -- Kane (1 G, 2 A), Rozsival (0 G, 3 A) and C Dave Bolland (1 G, 2 A). The Blackhawks really need more out of C Jonathan Toews (1 G, 0 A in series) and LW Marian Hossa (0 G, 2 A in series), considering Toews has 10 points (2 G, 8 A) in the playoffs, while Hossa has 16 points (7 G, 9 A) in this postseason.

Like Boston, Chicago also has four players that have logged more than 27 minutes per game of ice time during the Stanley Cup Finals. D Duncan Keith has been the biggest workhorse with a hefty 34:57 of ice time per game, in which he's been able to post a +4 rating. Three other defensemen -- Niklas Hjalmarsson (28:35 avg. ice time), Brent Seabrook (28:04) and Johnny Oduya (27:03) -- have also played a ton of minutes, but only Seabrook (+1 rating) has a positive rating in the series.
