Chelsea vs. Newcastle stats: What you need to know
Time: Sunday, May 13, 15:00 GMT
Venue: St James Park
There have been under 2.5 goals in eight of Newcastle last 10 Premier League home games
Chelsea have won their last three Premier League away games
Newcastle have lost with a one-goal margin in their last four matches
Chelsea have scored the least number of goals in the Premier League of the top
Anything but a win for Chelsea ends any slim hopes that the Blues may have in playing Champions League soccer next season.
A win will turn their attention to Anfield, where Antonio Conte will be hoping that Chris Hughton’s Brighton can overcome all the odds and claim all three points against Liverpool. The odds suggest that Brighton have a 5% chance of taking all three points against the Champions League finalists.
It is a slim hope, but with Liverpool’s attention very much on their Champions League final on May 26, there is a certain possibility that it may come to fruition. It will be a satisfying end to a season that has been disappointing for Chelsea.
Newcastle have little to play for in this Premier League season, albeit Rafa Benitez maybe looking to get one over his old club.
The Magpies have a respectable record at home against the top six this season, taking seven points from a possible 15 including two wins from five. Prior to their loss to West Brom at St James’ Park, Newcastle were undefeated in their last eight at home, including four wins in a row.
This is by no means an easy game for Antonio Conte’s men, particularly after their lacklustre performance last time out against Huddersfield.
Yet they do have something to play for, which may be the difference between the two sides on Sunday. Nevertheless, the value looks to lie in the Total Goals market (with the Under 2.5 perhaps appealing to bettors).
Chelsea have scored just one goal in their last four Premier League outings, meanwhile Newcastle have lost by a single goal margin in all of their last four Premier League games. Whilst the odds may point to a high scoring game, Under 2.5 odds of 2.020* could be a smart move, particularly with the patchy form of Chelsea’s strikers.

Sunday MLS
2* Seattle +291 vs Portland
Cant pass up the value here with 2 teams that are very comparable in talent.Portland has outscored last 3 opponents 7-2 and off dramatic 1-0 win over San Jose so not so sure they will bring maximum effort into this rivalry game with Seattle.I will take Seattle +291 tonight. GL
