world series

this has the makings of a classic. big time stars on both sides...and the 2 best teams are still playing. uehara is the big plus for bos....he had the lowest WHIP in the HISTORY OF BASEBALL. hoping it goes 7.

I have Cardinals in 6.

Will be a very very good series no matter what.

Boston won't get all those runs they got off of Detroit's bullpen vs the Cards. Martinez & Rosenthal are nasty! I would expect some low scoring games.

As you probably know the O/U started at 7(-125) now -120.
I certainly am leaning under in many of the games.

I've been thinking along these lines, just deciding on a strategy. If it's a 6- or 7-game series, I wouldn't be surprised to see at least 3 or 4 games go under the total. Will probably play under on each game, maybe with a modified chase (normally, I hate chases).

Good point about those games in St. Louis, ronnie.

At 5Dimes right now, Under 7 is +100 and Under 7.5 is -135 for Game 1. Probably just grab Under 7 at even.

Will probably tread carefully on the side in each game. But I might take the Cards to win the WS at +115.

There will be no Big Papi in the lineup in St Louis and the temps at game time will be low 50's and dropping. The Cards don't hit many homers as it is.

From local radio website in Boston

Farrell said that David Ortiz would see some time (over Mike Napoli) at first base, but that the precise number of games Ortiz will start has yet to be determined.

I'll keep looking for more info

You would think even if he does play 1B, that he would be taken out late in a close game for defense.
