for what it's worth,
It's the Finals & this league has been a pleasant alternative to the daily grind of baseball. It's best of five with a 2-2-1 format starting in Minny tonight where the Lynx are 17-2 su, 14-5 ats & the Dream have gone 6-13 su & 7-12 ats on the road. In the postseason the Lynx have not allowed anyone 65 points & have held their opponents to under 40% from the field. The Dream have made it, in part from their defensive play, after the opener vs the Mystics they have allowed less than their season avg on defense from 73.9 ppg to 64 ppg. These two split the season series, each winning at home. In the first half each team covered at home with both games going over. Both teams went 9-3 over in the 1st against each others conference, with two of the Lynx under vs the Fever. might as well try it the hard way right out of the gate, hope everyone has a good evening....
Lynx -5 1st
Dream/Lynx over 78 2*
Lynx center Janel MCarville’s sore lower back might force her to miss tonight’s WNBA finals opener against Atlanta at Target Center.
if McCarville cannot play?
The Lynx have options. Reeve could opt to go small, moving Monica Wright into the starting lineup and moving Rebekkah Brunson to center.
McCarville missed two games in early August with a concussion, and the Lynx lost both games. Indeed, those two games were the start of the team’s most difficult stretch this season. The team lost two of three even after McCarville returned before turning a corner. The Lynx are 12-1 since that time, including playoffs.
McCarville played in and started 32 games for the Lynx. She averaged 6.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and a career-high 2.9 assists per game. In four playoff games McCarville has averaged 3.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.5 blocks while playing strong defense in the post, particularly against Phoenix center Brittney Griner.
the games in Atlanta will not be downtown at Philips, instead out in the burbs at the Gwinnett Center & i don't know how the usual fans will travel, on the flip side it will be easier for me to attemd on thursday night, only 8 miles away
Is that really necessary? We all post winners and we all post losers. Of all people, msudogs has provided far more winners than losers here for a long time. And he always post results at the end of the day. I seriously doubt he needs you to post his losers for him.
MSU is good enough to share his time, efforts and talent with us all. Has done a wonderful job year in and year out, has never been involved in any arguments as far as I know. Is highly regarded as a capper by us all. And you jump in his thread to start sh it.. Plz go find something better to do. You are messing with the wrong person.
give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day"
