I follow the results and stats of the main players, during the year but I mostly bet on Grand Slam's games
When the tournament starts I follow some of the games and read the recap of some others to analyze the players' performance.
For example, in the case of Feliciano Lopez (Spain), he had an easy straightforward 3-0 win over Brugues, a match he was expected to win comfortably and duly obliged.
On the other hand, Stepanek overcame a 2 set deficit to defeat Troicki, taking the deciding set 7-5.
I'd slightly favour Lopez here. I would expect tight sets and stamina could play a part.
Stepanek is a good player but if this match go beyond 3 sets, I think Lopez has more chance to win.
Playtowin, I am sorry I couldn't answer you earlier.
In the case of Verdasco vs Malisse, that was the game I liked the most. In fact, i was big on that match.
Spaniard Verdasco is a good player gave 11-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal a tough 5 set match in the 2009 Aussie Open semifinals. He is not so consistent and from time to time loses his magic.
In fact, he trailed two sets to one before producing some high-class tennis to overcome Belgian David Goffin in the first round of the 2013 Australian Open.
Malisse (#55 in the world) is a more veteran player that is 1-2 lifetime against Verdasco.
In this moment, Verdasco is the No. 24 in the world and is seeded #22 in the torurnament.
That is my writeup. Too late, though.
I hope you made the bet.
Malisse vs Verdasco (-142) WINNER
Stepanek vs Lopez (-125) LOSER
