Chicago and Calgary can both close things out tonight at home, being up 3-2. In this situation home teams get it done more often than not. When teams are at home with a chance to close out in this situation, win at around a 61% rate, although the preliminary round is a bit lower at 59%

What about the Isles trying to stave off elimination at home for game 6 ? Well historically it's a bit less less than 50%. They are -125 faves, so not really a good spot to take them.

How about TB being tied 2-2 with a chance to go up at home. Well that is a very nice 63% clip. And with TB coming back to stun the Wings like they did last game I really like this wager. Now also it's very telling that the books have TB at a huge -190 clip. If you are a value player TB should not be this big of a fave. If you are going by the 63% historical clip then its major value by taking the +170.

But remember you have to cap each game and just use this info as a tool.

But also remember, if you ignore history you will be defeated by it .
