Ncaa 11/9

I've seen enough to where I feel comfortable to make this an official play now. While I don't see the fever pitch many held for Clemson in the recent visit at Virginia Tech, a good portion of the wagering public are fully behind the Louisville machine after last week's impressive win.

Wagers: 12,067
Pinny Open/Current
Louis -5/6'

Spread
Louis 79%
RUT 21%

Louisville just competed in the greatest win in their history beating #3 West Virginia and now get to travel to Rutgers for the most important game in THEIR history. The Cardinals strength is their offense, specifically their passing attack which plays into the Scarlet Knights greatest strength.

- LOUISVILLE is 3-13 ATS (-11.3 Units) vs. good passing defenses - allowing 150 or less passing yards/game since 1992.

- Schiano is 6-0 ATS (+6.0 Units) in home games vs. good passing teams averaging 8 or more passing yards/att. as the coach of RUTGERS.

Earlier in the week I picked up some RUT +5' (+107) and today got more RUT +7 (-105). With the percentage creeping up on the visitor I expect the line to continue to rise. It has gone back down slightly but give me the better defense at home GETTING POINTS and I will take my chances every time.

RUT +5' (+107) for 5.5 units
RUT +7 (-105) for 7.5 units

2006 NCAA reg season
+67.72 units
35-28-1 ATS
ML Fav 3-0
ML Dog 2-2

The more people I meet, the more I love my dogs.

i have rutgers as well. my method acctully has them as slightly superior so i will gladly take the points which i think will may be over 7 by gametime. rutgers def. is GOOD. they also have a signifigant turnover margin in favor of rut.. they create oppurtunities and louisville will need alot left in the tank after last week to blow this open. just my thoughts. like your analysis. gl

How tough is it going to be for Louisville

to get up for back-to-back games of the year? I wonder if bigdadi knows when the last time an undefeated team had to play 2 other undefeated teams back-to-back weeks in November? My guess is this has happened only 10 times or less in the HISTORY of college football. Gotta to go with your analysis and won't be surprised at all if Rutgers wins outright.

Personally, I can't see ever backing a team whose top receiver is the fullback. Rutgers has absolutely no passing attack. And if you are gonna hang with Louisville you need to be able to get vertical.

Rutgers is a good program, but they are a bit over their heads. They don't have a secondary strong enough to cover Urrutia AND Douglas. And they have not faced a QB anywhere near as skilled as Brohm.

as an RU student, and brother of two ru alumnis, i have never in my life seen mayhem over a game here in new brunswick. Tickets being sold online for incredible prices like it is the national championship ( i know that its not that much...but a slight exagerration). 10,500 student tickets were all given out in 4 hrs a they gave them away yesterday, instead of swiping ids on game day. I was lucky to buy 15 guest tickets a month ago, and kept one for myself. if home field advantage was ever a factor, thursday night is it.

i have been an RU follower, and skeptic...but i have been saying for a month or so, that both teams come in undefeated and RU pulls it out. i doubt they will keep it within two scores against WVU, but their national championship hopes were never possible given their preseason ranking and schedule.

RD, i am with you on this one as those ESPN Thurs night home underdogs continue to roll.

good luck

All About $$$$

This is my first post. You all have been a great help! This game concerns me. If Rutgers beats Louisville and Louisville does not go to the BCS Championship the whole Big East loses a ton of money. I think Louisville would drop out of the top ten and Rutgers would not be very high and they still have to play West Virginia.

Isn't this a very similar match up we had a couple of weeks ago when Boise St played Fresno? Assuming that Boise St stays undefeated and goes to a BCS Bowl game Fresno makes a million dollars for losing.

this is interesting...i assume you are implying that it would be to rutgers' favor to lose this game so louisville makes the bcs championship and the big east generates more money as a whole?

I think that Rutgers has acomplished everything that they had hoped for at the beginning of the season so far. They looked horrible vs. Conn., on national T.V. (even though they got the W)
They did not cover ATS. My personal opinion is that Liousville sees the light @ the end of the tunnel, and it is NOT a train.
I think Liousville runs away with it.

My money will ride the train with RD .I gotta love a team that can win 3 consective on the road . Shows a lot of character . Louisville is on a short week after playinfg what they said was the biggest game in their history . Rutgers has 4 more days to prepare . I will have a unit on Rugers ATS and 1/2 unit on the money line .

This is the game of the decade in NJ. Possibly even the biggest college football game in this area since I've been alive. Of course everyone is hyped for it, the place will be a madhouse, and it's the first time the local radio stations have spent an entire day talking about a college football game. Surprisingly though, the sentiment from most of the Rutgers fans and the talk show hosts is concerned optimism. Many of them are fearful that Rutgers could be exploited by the first real team they've faced. I'm actually surprised that this line was so low. I was hoping to catch Rutgers at double digits. I am rooting for Rutgers and probably playing them as well, but there is legitimate concern that if Louisville comes to play and jumps out to a quick 2 TD lead that Rutgers may be done. Here's hoping that doesn't happen. Let's go Rutgers. Good luck RD.

See what happens when small people try to use big words or phrases? I meant to say cautious optimism and exposed instead of exploited. Same thing though. Think I'll take a little Rutgers now at +7 just to make sure I get the TD.

Two more things ...

1. B. Lang likes Louisville.
2. As if they really need any more reasons, I wonder if Rutgers remembers the 56-5 beat down at Louisville last year ... ?

Pitt does not have 2 dominating receivers like Urrutia and Douglas. They feature a very young offense other than Palko. Pitt also does not have as strong a running offense or defense that Louisville does. Nor does Pitt have as good a head coach as Bobby Petrino. Oh, and Pitt features an offense run by Matt Cavanaugh. The guy is a failure at every level as an OC. Plus, Rutgers exploited Pitt's inability to stop the run and dominated time of posession. If you are never on the field you have a lot of trouble getting into any kind of groove.

Rutgers could not run or stop the run vs UConn two weeks ago. In fact they were a fumble recovery for a TD and a blocked punt away from losing to UConn and making this game worthless. They won't have an opportunity to take advantage of mental mistakes like that against Louisville.

For the that care about these sort of things the ML is 40 cents LIGHT on Louisville now.
