Christmas 2012 Join In Please

we all have something to be thankful for. first let me tell you it's ok to cry for the children of Sandy Hook. i broke down like a baby that night in front of my wife of 35 yrs. she said she'd only seen this once before ( when my mother passed away ). then ; i have a realitively new grandaughter who is SOOOOOOO precious to me. my wife's about to retire so she can take a well deserved rest. Merry Christmas to all of you here , my second family !!

peace , gary

This has been a very difficult year for me and my family.

And, for that reason, I have not contributed so much to the den but I still consider many of you truly my "virtual friends"

May your Christmasses be happy and peaceful!

I'm thankfull for my friends and family and health and happiness of all I know. I've developed some friends here over time and am greatfull of each of them. 2012 was a crazy year with hurricane sandy smashing my home town and state as well as the horrible tragedies our country has faced but we will hopefully all grow stronger because of it. Cheers to ending 2012 and starting a better year. Lets all grow stronger, smarter and happier togethet in 2013!

Merry Christmas to all of my friends at Statfox

Guys I'm not one for alot of words, but I have to say that throughout life I have had it pretty good. I've raised 2 children and both of my girls are doing well. My wife of 34 years is a very special lady that puts up with my **** and asks for little in return. My father is still alive and doing well and so are both of my sisters and their families. I have a lot of good friends and a few special ones. Lost my best friend last year to cancer, but had the friendship for over 20 years. I'm heading out to his grave today to put a Christmas Wreath on it. Getting together tonight for a Christmas eve party with my immediate family, and then tomorrow with the gift giving.

To sum it up I've been blessed.
Merry Christmas to all,
Pete

Thank you Den

For all the friendships I have acquired over the years on this site.
Some of you I have met, but more than likely, I will never meet most of you. It doesn't matter. Somehow the goodwill reaches me as I am sure it reaches most of you.
I have had the benefit of my parents sacrificing everything that they owned to insure, that their children, and consequently their grandchildren and great-grandchildren could live in a society where they could be free to choose the direction of their lives.
Three kids, three grandkids, with more certainly on the way. Yes,
Christmas is getting really, really expensive!

Wishing you and yours, a very Merry Christmas, and best wishes for the upcoming year. (Screw the Mayans)

Ralph

Thanks is easy for me. Everyone I really need to thank is right here on this board. Most know my situation and most of you have helped out. What you guys have done for my family epitomizes how great of a community we have here. There is no doubt. I will never forget what you guys have done for me. I think of you when I go to bed and when I wake. Your kindness touched me more than anything has in a long time.

I am blessed to have 4 wonderful, healthy girls, a great wife, my sister, and the fox den forum.

Love you guys. Happy Christmas and Merry New Year.

thank you

for starting this post
the tragedy at sandy hook, i too tear up everytime this is mentioned, i look at my christmas tree and see the decorations that my son (now 17) made when he was younger
went to visit my folks on saturday, all they talked about is their new great-grandson and how important family is. i'm in my late 40's, and it JUST really hit me how right my parents are about family and the things i have and how lucky i am, and no matter what age i am i can still learn things from my parents.

i do enjoy being apart of the fox den forum and want to thank all of you just for letting me into your lifes

merry christmas, happy new year from hawkeyechet
look forward to many years of being apart of this forum

seems the older i get the more i appreciate what a nice life i've had. easy to take for granted. i'm a prostate cancer survivor, and have been blessed with a great family. like ralph said, chances are i'll never meet any of you, but still feel a close bond to some here. happy and safe holidays to all. can't believe another year is almost gone.

Thankful

I am thankful for alot of things and eveyday as I grow a little older I become more thankful. First of all thankful for my health, my family, my job, my friends, and thankful that I live in a country that is still full of alot of good people. Good people who come to the rescue of a fellow sportsbettor in Houston who is down on his luck. Good people who gather to help those who are greiving and good people who humor each other as they do on this forum. I very seldom post but I read the forum in here. I don't read the paper due to all the bad stuff they have to tell about. But the number one thing I am thankful for is Jesus Christ who came down on earth and paid the price for my sins that I may have eternal life with him in heaven. Ask yourself this each morning: What if this morning when you woke up all you had to your name is what you thanked him for yesterday. What a thought. Happy Birthday Jesus and to all Merry Christmas.

Everyone.....

I, as others have stated, am very lucky and thankful for the things I've been blessed with. I also do not post a lot, but would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a great 2013, whatever your endeavors. There is a fantastic group of people gathered here @ Statfox and this thread is surely proof of that.

Wishing all of you the best!

I haven't been around much this year like many other former regulars. Been one of the toughest years of my life. Going through a divorce and a 6 year old daughter who relapsed from a rare form of cancer. Thankfully she is doing good right now, living a normal life going to school and being a normal 6 year old. I am currently living with a new girlfriend of about a year now and couldnt be happier in my personal life. Hug and kiss your kids everyday and be thankful for your health and happiness each day. Life is precious and far too short. Take care everyone and have a great Christmas and a happy New year!

It's amazing the older we get, the more we appreciate family and friends. The best Christmas gift is having the kids and grandchild come through that door!!!
