Hello Den

Greetings from powerless Long Island....Lost power last Monday October 29th still don't have it back. Been tough getting to a computer, charging a cell phone or getting gas down here. Bracing for some heavy winds rain sleet and maybe snow today. Hope everyone made it out of Sandy ok. Hope to get my picks posted this weekend will be posting Thursday's NFL game shortly after this

I went about 14 days without power, when the Ice storms hit Quebec.

Been there!!!

A wood stove is an essential item in our times. I do not own a house anymore, but I would add that to my list if I did.

It is great for burning lousy vinyl records. lol!

i can sympathize with that....i lost cable, phone and internet for one day last week and was pissed off. hope things get normal for you down there asap.

Glad to hear that you are on the right side of the grass. There is a U-Haul truck leaving my hometown on Saturday night, Sunday morning heading for your area. This truck will have a bunch of dry clothes donated from my family as well as some of my neighbors.

Please let me know what else could do the most good down there.

They give away Yankee and Jets gear up here (because nobody will buy it), but we use that to start fires, so don't expect any of that garbage. I may put some old Red Sox and Patriots gear in there, please send pictures.

FINALLY!!!

After almost 11 days the power is back on at my house! Came back on this morning at 6.

I'm not sure how to upload pics but I did take a bunch! Thanks for the concerns, let's get back to posting WINNERS!
