AZ,
I think the ultimate underlying problem here is this:
What is your ultimate goal here in the FoxDen?
You keep talking about clients, are you looking at building on that client list by means of the forum where it specifically prohibits such acts?
If you want to post winners and help out this community, welcome aboard. If you're slowly working on a scheme to build your distribution lists by gaining the confidence of some of these forum members, I must say I frown on that. I run my own site, albeit quite a different nature in which you run yours, and I learned from the first few days I started posting here that this place was more than a watering hole for me to grab potential business. It's a true community that usually bonds together with great brains of each capper being the glue (that is until Riggs makes his couple times per year visits, LOL!).
Bottom line for me is this:
Post your plays, share your knowledge, make some friends, but be selfless about it. If you're looking to build a client list, I think you came to the wrong place.

Sorry AZ, I don't have a lot for suggestions. I posed a one-sided question that kind of cornered you, yet honestly I don't have a straight answer for you either.
I mentioned that I too run a site, and in actuallity it is similar to StatFox, just that no one really uses it (LOL). 3,200+ posts later I'm still here doing my best to contribute and help everyone out, including the StatFox guys. There are other way to get clients, but I think the bottom line is that if you want to stay reputable you need to do your best to follow the rules. As you can see, there are some very unforgiving people around here that will pigeon hole you and never let you forget a slip up you make. I'm trying my best to converse in a productive fashion as I can tell from your posts that you are at least trying to fit in, you're not just firing back with random jibberish that no one likes.
I guess what I would do is this. It's clear to most here that you offer a service. I would make a point of not mentioning that in your future posts (whether it's referring to your company, clients or contact address). People will talk about the post when you have a big day (and they'll **** on you for a bad one, unfortunately), and some might ask about the service and at that point you would be OK to let them know about it. But promoting it or putting it in front of people on a daily basis. It also wouldn't hurt to run a daily thread in the Cappers and Promotions section and post your e-mailed pick for the day after the game starts (within a reasonable time frame) and it will let people see your top plays and you can leave information for them on how to contact you in that daily thread.
Just a few thoughts, I'm not trying to run you out of here, but I do think you guys should keep the rules, and more importantly some of the guys that are not very tolerable of services in mind.

Colin...
You're right about the after-1st-pitch posting, the only thing it can possibly do is self-promote. So we'll be sure to keep any full service record in the proper area, and the running tally of comps in the daily thread in the regular room.
Honestly when i brought out our previous records today, it was to sortof defend our work being that many had posted negative things about our service as a whole in the 3 days I was unable to respond.
Any past posting will be done in a thread over at the promo room. As I said before, after really thinking about it, thats all that past posting really is, and we realize this. As I stated in the FIRST post: we really are here to help contribute to this room, as I've always enjoyed surfing and going back and forth with people @ the forums as Scott said earlier. It's ridiculous to think anyone in our position wouldn't accept a new client from any board we were posting at, but at the same time, and only time can prove this, we will not PUSH the service here.
We will probably keep a running thread with full service records over at the promo room, and a running tally of our posted games here at this forum. To be quite honest, as many of our guys don't even know about this board, for a while we'll post a bit more than one game a day....
GLTA who follow in the future, the 1-1 makes a tad bit for the room. I'm ****ed the M's lost that lead though....
