sandinhand...
quote : Are you saying the MOB has it's hands on setting the game odds or just buying off players and refs?
- Well back in the old days, we use to have several options, to buy a players or two not always work... the easy way to "decided" a game whas to buy or harass one of the guys in control "the refs" like you call them, I always prefer to harass fear its more powerfull that big trunk of money
Now it's more easy... the referees have to obey superior ordes, now they don't have the option to back up , they don't have the final decision, money it's now the only option... the harass and fear are out of date
The NBA players, know about this... but they are not directly involved, but the NCAAB players are, they need money and so the MOB,
Most of the time its a fair game to one particular moment, but example if the MOB "decided" the UNDER in a game with a line of 180 and with 60 sec on the game and they are tie at 87. Its easy they will let the first team with a basket win, are start to call ofensive fouls or travel, both ways ( you have see this, its nothing new )
Only if one players makes a espectacular shot to beat the clock, and ties the game... so it will be OVER, the MOB simple takes over the next game and this time will make sure that they are in the winning side ( so they can get back their losses and more )
Check this out and its very easy to see and prove... just after a close game LINE or TOTAL, in which the MOB loss money, the next game it's a big beating, a lot of bad calls.. and ussually the big start of one of both teams is in early foul trouble ( by the way almost 90 % of the time the MOB have a side, and when they have a total ussualy go under )

I am of the position that ZERO games in professional sports are fixed. We are talking about billion dollars industry's where everybody involved is getting their fair share, including the officials. The amount of money is so large that nobody would jeopardize their career to fix a game.
Organized crime has ZERO INFLUENCE on the outcome of a major professional sporting event. ZERO
As always, I could be WRONG... Not likely though

I have been handicapping sports for over 15 years and I learned a long time ago not to blame my losses on anybody but myself. If I lose a game because an official makes a bad call, I probably should not have bet a game where it came down to that.
Like all of you I can give you a list a mile long of my BAD BEATS, but I would wager that my list of BAD WINS is probably just as long. I just don't remember them.
I have the most respect for the handicappers in this forum who step up after a loss and simply state they made a mistake. They don't blame officials, coaches, managers,tv,line makers. They take their loss and move on. Luckily this forum is filled with handicappers like that.
