Only one new series starts tonight between Pittsburgh and Washington. Nats are on a 3 game win streak and are favored, so there is no play on this one.
3 possible chases for this weekend. Need to see Saturday's odds and make some educated guesses on Sunday and/or Monday's games for these series, so nothing official until about 4pm.
Cubs (+) at St Louis
Hill vs Wainwright
Lilly vs Lohse
Marquis vs Wellemeyer
Don't think Lilly or Marquis will be favored, so heavy lean towards the Cubs on this one.
Dodgers (+) at Colorado
Penny vs Francis
Loaiza vs De La Rosa
Lowe vs Cook
Friday night is pickem right now, thinking Loaiza will be small fav and probably same with Lowe. Want to wait until later Friday to see if Fridays game swings one way or the other and Sat odds get posted.
White Sox (+) at Toronto
Buehrle vs Marcum
Danks vs Litsch
Contreras vs Halladay
Vazquez vs McGowan
Have a hard time thinking that Chicago would be favored in any of these matchups if their #1 isnt even favored against Toronto and not facing Halladay. Vazquez vs McGowan is the only one that I'm not real sure of. Need more research.
The rest of the series have been filtered out for various reasons. I don't plan on posting the reasons, but if you have questions about why a certain team is not a chase I will reply back as soon as possible.
going for us is that (in case we play toronto) is that toronto has only been swept at home 4 times in the last 3 years (not counting 2 game series). Also think dodgers arent gonna sweep the rockies at home after they swept them in LA.
Reds miss out on the secondary filter, which came into play because Atlanta's home record is 8-4 (.667) this season. When adding Cincys road record (6-9), the reverse of ATL home record (4-8) and Cincy vs Atl last 3 yrs (12-12) and Cincy at ATL last 3 yrs (5-5)....you get 27-34 (.442) which falls just below the .450 threshold.
Rangers miss out because they have 2 flaws, their 5-10 road record and Oakland's 10-5 home record. Secondary filter doesnt come into play here because there are 2 disqualifying factors.
Looking like we will be rooting for the Windy City this weekend as the Cubs and White Sox should be plays, Dodgers are still negative dogs and are looking like a pickem for Saturday also.
